We lost 2 years worth of 1st and 2nd round draft picks for doing the same thing with Tippett - 3rd party payment but did not exceed the salary cap...can we sue the AFL to get them back this year as compensation this year then if they are not hitting Geelong with the same penalties?

Yep. $80k fine for being lazy and not covering up all the 3rd party stuff better. Other clubs will have taken notice.

Sponsors paying coaches huge sums for minimal work will be the new norm. As will simply not reporting anything, because reporting late leads to penalties.
