I know there was a lot of criticism of Neale, O Henry etc. floating around on the matchday thread, so only positive things here...

Butters' lowest possession game prior to today was 24 (vs Bulldogs) but every other game he's played has been 27+. But only 20 today. Mullin did an outstanding job.

On another note, I get the criticism of Stengle but it doesn't feel like he's not trying. He's just horribly out of form and almost everything he's doing isn't coming off (except for that perfect goal). I think he'll turn it round before too long.

Finally, Dempsey is moving into "holy s**t" territory. Was a couple of kicks away from tearing the game apart in the third. More of that, please!
Re Dempsey, apart from the monster tank and freaky skills, I get the feeling having a certain little bald mentor in his back pocket is certainly not hurting either.

Not having JHenry nearly cost us the Pies game and probably did cost us the Giants game. COS looking like he needs a rest but he is ploughing on as we need him too.

Mullins slowly getting to the stage where he adds to the group.

Was our forwardline that good or was it Port. Cameron put them to the sword. Neale still just in his first full year of being a regular best22 , probably still a couple years away from his best but he seems to pop in for a mark or two. OHenry really been out of form for a while but they are persisting.

Could it be that we are still trying to work our Blitz best role at 34? Need seem to say its ruck. Do tehy bring Stanley back for the Dogs? Id think we bets be careful about asking him to ruck full time as if he goes down or gets injured we need about three players to step up to cover what he adds.

Dogs will be another level..perhaps two other levels…and Im sure Smith will cop a heap of attention. We need more Smiths ..two our best recruits in recent years have been Smiths. More please.
How good Jack Henry! Definitely cost us v the Giants him being unavailable. Reads the ball in the air so well. Hard to believe he and Ollie are brothers out on the field, their games are worlds apart.

Dempsey's on 17 goals now, which should have been 20 after last night.

How many wingmen have kicked 40 goals in a season? Because he's tracking for that.

Henry probably would have taken McKay and possibly won us the Blues match too.

We ended this club in 2007. Complete mental disintegration of a whole club.
On behalf of the majority of South Australians, we say....

I’ve got a feeling Geelong has just ended another coaches career, they’ll sack Hinkley this week I reckon.

Distinctly possible. Having the anointed successor chosen already makes it if anything slightly more likely, as they won't have to muck about with a caretaker coach.

Did Neale have 100 percent score involvements from 11 possessions? I did not notice that!
Yes he did

He actually had a very good game if you look at it overall.

I would need to watch again but i can't remember many times if any the ball went in his direction and he didn't at least bring it to ground.

My favourite thing about him is his effort in almost everything he does... He chases, tackles, gets fingers on kicks etc.

If he can start more consistently marking the ball and kicking 2+ goals a game he will be the whole package

Only saw snippets of the game but it seems Close was doing some Close things again.

Not at all confident going into next week, feel we will treat it as a battle and the Bulldogs will treat it as a war.

He sure did

No one's saying he's the finished product, as there's definitely areas we'd all love to see improvement in. But he is having a positive impact and will be doing things that the coaches are looking for

We're now just got to wait for that moment where it all clicks for him and we see that rounded performance

I think he'll coach this coming week against Freo and then be done

They have the bye in round 12, so making the change after next Saturday will give Carr 2 weeks until his first match as coach
