For all the talk about Buddy, COLA and the Academy kids the Swans are smashing the Cats on their merits here.

Aliir has been huge, Richards adding strings to his bow at 400 years old, Naismith and Sinclair doing their jobs in the ruck, Zak Jones showing great signs and Dane Rampe marching to a spot in the AA team.

the over umpiring is sickening

What a start from Dangerfield. 18 touches in the first quarter.

Is this a first?

Dangerfield's stats reveal 8 frees for and zero against.

We flog off about being 'young'. Don't mind the sides in the 8 younger than us.
The Swans had 4 under 10 games and 8 under 30 games tonight and beat Geelong easily IN Geelong.
Reality check please.

Over a third of their team had played over 150 games, we have 5 on the list with that many games let alone playing in a single game.

Please, Sydney's best players tonight Jack (29) JPK (28) Hanners (25) Parker (23) Mitchell (23) with Franklin (29) and Grundy (30) structurally key. They have a core of 2012 premiership players who are still in their prime. No comparison to where we are at.

Where are we 'at' exactly?

The gap between 8th and 9th is HUGE.

And we aint even 9th.

Our best players this year are Steven (26), Riewoldt (33), Montagna (32), Hickey (25) and Ross (23)

Have to say that for a first year player who can't get a Rising Star nomination - that Callum Mills can play a bit

*puts on tin foil hat*

They want to avoid giving Mills a nomination OR they are waiting to do it during a week where a big story breaks because they know the media will use his nomination to stir the "Academy Kids" pot.

Still rebuilding obviously. In 2012 the first year of our rebuild Swans won the flag with a core of mids who are now in their prime + picked up Buddy in the mean time. We are a young side because we are relying on the development of our young players to drive us up the ladder. None of this is groundbreaking mate. Whether our cattle will prove good enough is up in the air but you can't seriously claim Sydney is a younger side than us by any measure.

adam tomlinson is an absolute spud, will fit in well at carlton

Pies come back from 24 points down at 1/4 time to flog GWS at Spotless!

**** me they have a hard draw for their last 8 games though, Collingwood. GWS away today, Adelaide in Adelaide next week, then North (Etihad), West Coast (MCG), Richmond (MCG), WB (Etihad), Gold Coast (Etihad), Hawthorn (MCG).

6 top-8 teams in the last 8 rounds! Play like they did today and they could win at least 5 of those 8 though.

I draw your attention to the fact that Travis Cloke kicked 4 goals and Jesse White kicked three goals. (Day out!!!)

Bet360 are offering 100/1 on the chances of that happening again this season
