Posted this before the season. Gotta say that Spargo and Fritsch have really cemented their spots in my view and become proper AFL footballers. Not saying either are the finished product, but they're both bringing lots to the table at the moment. One of the footy programs was spouting a theory that players entering their 4th season "go pro" and can make a big difference to a team's fortunes. They used the 4th year improvement of Franklin, Riewoldt and a few others as examples as well as the role the 2012 draft crop (Macrae, Stringer, Hrovat, Hunter) played in the Dogs 2016 flag.
Our players entering their 4th year are Spargo, Fritsch, Petty and Baker. Our forward half could really do with Spargo making a big leap in his output, and Fritsch staying on his learning gradient would be good to see as well. Can Baker put it together to be a legit option on a wing or as a runner between the arcs? We're not crying out for a key back, so Petty's development isn't as important to our short-term results but it would be great to see him get some more games and provide legitimate depth for May/Lever.
This is really a bit irrelevant but It’s funny no one has been giving us credit for the teams we’ve been defeating (which I’m fine with going under the radar to be honest), compared to say the Bulldogs who are premiership contenders in a lot of people’s eyes. But who have the Bulldogs defeated? 3 of the current bottom 5 teams in Collingwood, Brisbane and North, their other win came against West Coast who lost to St Kilda, we beat the Saints in a game no one gives us credit for because the Saints are apparently a no one this year

100% agree, that’s kind of the point I was trying to make. Teams have good games and bad games such as the Saints past 2 weeks or West Coasts past 2 weeks. Simply writing a team off after 3 or 4 rounds is a bit silly.Everyone talking about 'who have they beaten' in the first 4-6 weeks is absolute bullshit. The ladder doesn't start stabilizing until after round 6 traditionally, and the lower teams are much more up for the fight in the first month of the season compared to the second half.

We need to win at least 1 of 2 against the Tigers and Dogs and ideally get the Swans too before the bye. Until that point all we can do is keep beating the sides in front of us and get the self-belief up to a point where we go into each of those clashes ready to compete.
Also who did they keep panning up to in function room?
I think since 2006 we’ve actually beaten them more times away (twice) than at home (once)Nice that we get Sydney at home.
I don't think we've beaten them at the G since 2010. (The day Bruce jizzed in his pants.)Nice that we get Sydney at home.

13 wins for finals now with the 18 teams.I don't get a flying fu** who we beat. As long as we tick off that 48-52 point milestone of finals, and then ideally 3-4 more wins to make the top 4 that's really all that matters.
Rarely does the style of your wins in Apr/May/Jun matter. Just bank the points and prepare for the next opponent. Everyone else can talk about pretenders vs contenders while we carry on beating whoever shows up to face us. Once we get to September I'll care about whether we can beat the Dogs, or Port or whoever
Bulldogs have the credits in the bank coz of the premiership. A lot easier to take on trust.

They're a very different team since then.
I don't think anyones gonna answer us mate.I'd also like to know this. Were we supposed to know who they are?
