Well that's the shortest odds for Melbourne I've seen in my lifetime lol. I'm very much anti-gambling, but surely that's a bit silly a week out from a game when covid is still going around. Who knows what happens over the course of a week, we could have Conca and Zaharakis running out for all we know*

I guess it’s theoretically possible for the Eagles to get longer, but 1.01 is as short as a team can possibly be.

And not that they are guns, but it doesn’t help that the Eagles may need to suspend Rotham and Nelson for going to a nightclub, the night after Richmond smashed them by over 100, while the team is in an injury and COVID crisis, when Perth is in the grips of huge COVID outbreaks.

Edit: And now it appears Waterman and a couple of others were also there.

I can’t imagine how so many Eagles got COVID… their BigFooty apologists were busy saying it was all because of the older list profile, lots of kids getting it from childcare etc.

I vaguely remember similar stories coming out about a few of our blokes in 2012 or 13, after a 100 pt loss (Rivers, Moloney, Howe I think?). Fortunately we weren't in the grip of a pandemic at the time, although were just so bad we willingly had a bunch of VAFA level hacks on the list.

Probably way, way too much smiling, laughter and joy for him around the club since we stopped being garbage and started winning. Might have taken some time away from the club to connect with his Pumpkins roots. Or perhaps hes gone to norf to get his proper emo feels back.

Don't think that even the most optimistic Dees supporter could have foreseen Gussy's willingness to be selfless.

I think that having a contingency is an incredible idea though Karl Amon is really good.

I went back to the 2014 draft and 5 of our 22 came from that year.

Being a good team is still hard to cope with. Was talking to my family the other day and we went back and talked about the worst losses or lowest points we had on the ride. Must be part of being a dees fan I think, interested to hear everyone else's though?

Mine was the game we lost to the Bombers VFL squad when they were missing their entire team of drug cheats

The 140 point loss to Essendon was far worse, at the point you genuinely felt like there was no hope, wouldnt have been mad if the club had folded.

Bombers loss worse for me too, was at a 21st that night and checked the scores halfway through and was mortified, and the Essendon supporters berating us as they we walked, what a horrific footy club they are.

yep, really enjoy seeing them suffer, they are absolutely intolerable when their team is good. The worst winners by far.

Only game I've left early voluntarily. Had something planned after the game but decided at half time I'd have more fun rocking up an hour and a half early.

I stayed to the end at the 187 loss at KP coz I was right near the players race and felt I had deserved the right to abuse them on the way off the ground.
