If the club really is trying to get Deledio and Kersten is going. What about a trade involving a swap there?
Kersten GHS
Deledio and later pick

If Richmond accept that trade they plunge once again down the path of Darkness. Two mediocre players currently.

I'd agree with that. They need to stop bringing in list fillers and concentrate on either drafting or trading in for quality players.

I was at an APS game in Brighton and the great man Stephen Wells was looking on with very keen eyes. In particular, Paddy Kerr, Vic Metro Full Forward, Oakleigh Chargers & Skevs gun. My source from the Herald Sun tells me we're into him big time.

Sounds about right, this draft is said to be weak from a KPP perspective. I expect us to draft talls and a Tasmanian.

Pssst quiet. Don't give away the man's trade secrets

If he had been injured in the past he would tick all the Wells smokey boxes

Where In the draft order would he be rated for those in the know.. Done he's shoulder last year is that the one?

Looks good but you assume the Blues would be into him in a big way.

Bolton wants McGrath with their first pick. This I know as fact. GC also want McGrath. Wells just doing what he does best in covering all bases

One never knows for sure but id be very surprised if he is there at mid 30's. And thats the catch.. you can be into a lot of players but you cant have the ones called before your pick. So who we like and pick probably depends on the comings and the goings of trade period.

I am not as knowledgeable as the draft experts but 20-40 for me. Wont go really early like marshall but is too talented to go late.

What do you think he would cost?

Either kersten or vardy (possibly in a 3 way trade if kersten and vardy go to vic clubs). About fair swaps and we would only want him if one or both of those guys goes anyway.

He is out of contract and will want more opportunity than he will get behind cameron patton and lobb so like us with kersten and vardy ooc they can't denand much.

That's pretty much the edge of our range. Just had a look at his highlights, looks very good on the lead which something we really haven't had since Pods. He seems like the kind of KPF who'd compliment Hawkins rather than get in the way.

It's crazy how quickly we went from having an over abundance of KPF to potentially having no depth in that department. It's not dissimilar to what happened to our ruck division half a decade ago.

Smith monstered Mumford all on his own who knows what he would have done on his own against the others, IMO the limitations of the 2 rucks has shown through more than the benefits, I'd prefer to squeeze in another mid & play Stanley mainly forward, I'm not saying don't play them together.
True, but he got monstered in return back in Week 2. One of the keys seems to be that if the athletic ruck approach isn't working, then switch to the strongman (i.e. when Naitanui went nuts against us for just a quarter at Kardinia earlier this year).

I wonder whether we'd still look at Kerr if we happened to trade in Stewart?

I would. One is a key forward for now the other is to develop for 3-4 years time when hawkins and stanley are post 30.

(Note: WHY IS THIS NOT POSTING?)

(Edit: It's posting twice. Left here for derpy hilarity.)

Knowing all 3 of those boys mentioned, they're Geelong all over. Team first, selfless, driven, hard working & outstanding young men & current leaders of men in leadership positions at their respective schools.

Gosh, that's impressive. (Less so for teachers, who really should be doing this themselves ... :) )

Would Richmond take Witts in exchange for Deledio?

Kersten to Collingwood
Witts to Richmond
Deledio to Geelong

Maybe some filler from Geelong. However, I only guess rough values not close values.
