I would have been happy with him or walsh but im glad we drafted an under 18 ruck its been a long time since we have done that and the list needs it.

100%. In all the phantoms, he was the highest rated ruck (besides Thilthorpe obviously)

If we'd gone our Future 1st for him and then picked Holmes at 27, then I probably wouldn't have really batted an eyelid. Very very happy about this selection

They're were quite a few ruckmen hyped up this year. What makes him stand out from the group.

Probably his athletic ability..gets around the ground so well..good skills for a big guy..all the rucks this year are raw types so they are line ball calls.

Edps had Walsh and I suggested Neale was a better option...got something right!...miracle!

Stupid no Draft Tracker this year with all these Pick Swaps! I suspect its about 12 picks from ours.

What makes it a good pick?

Every phantom draft and every board had him as the highest rated ruck, and some had him early 20's. I assumed he'd be gone and we'd be looking at Heath or even Lane from WA. Pick 33 for Neale is an absolute steal, trust me. Much much better than a speculative pick like Baldwin, and an actual ruck rather than a Cat B one, is what I wanted outside of Ford. No problems at all with that
