Can’t believe people are having a panic attack with blokes who can’t get a game, have deficiencies in their game and were not high draft picks leaving the club. One “might go” but Fogerty, Narkle and Constable should think very long and hard before they end up like the next Lang, HSmith, Jansen, Gore etc etc etc. Guys like Cooper Stephens, Frank, Clark, this years 3 kids and the odd free agent will blow straight past them. They play a position that is a dime a dozen. Guys like Atkins from the VFL give more. I’ve seen enough footy over the decades to know these three won’t be keeping any of us awake at night.

I also chuckle at the people that would rather Wright who literally can’t break into a bottom side because he gets paid less, over Daniher who is a RFA? Head......Rocks. One will lucky not to be delisted and one is AA quality.

Ist not so much rather ... what doing is talking about options.

As it stands Daniher has played less over the last 3 years than 2mp.

Daniher may be DFA ..but do we honestly think they will not make us trade for him? ... so when Cameron resigns at GWS and the choice is trade for Daniher with two R1 picks or a throw away pick for 2mp.. its worth consideration.

Daniher has upside no doubt... but that. just another way of saying he has under performed to his capabilities

As for Constable I’d point to the fact his body shape has not changed one iota at the club. He’s slow and unfit with zero definition. Hawkins almost beats him in the time trials. A pretty bad combination.

And if Fogerty feels hard done by at being dropped then he should look inwardly as it was because of his atrocious clangers last week. Ones that teams in the premiership medal business can’t accept. Added the fact he has had absolutely zero output in 3 of his last 4 games as a 21 year old.

You want midfield time then earn it or ship out. Spare me the “they are hard done” routine just because of their birth certificate.

Gutherie and mengola have FINALLY started to do something and they have been round for years, playing a game here and there and not setting the world on fire doesn’t mean you can’t play the game, they clearly are better than you and i cause we are both sitting on big footy ragging on them

I think when he’s fit he’s AA half back but he has done well when thrown in the middle too, small sample size though.

Apparently he's getting a million bucks extra over 5 years with Carlton. Seems extravagant to me

It depends on salary. Dodo will posture in public but the reality is if we give him a big enough contract to trigger band 1 (pick 7) They arent matching they are not that stupid even dodo. If we are only going to pay him at band 2 compo level then they might match.

We will see if the afl ever get around to telling all what list sizes are ..... but id guess all clubs get some sort dispensation about payouts this year... so it does not affect Salcap

Yes & no

He's got 2 years left on his current contract at GC & pretty sure I've read it suggested his contract is around $500k per season

So, if we want him cheap in terms of the trade cost we'd be taking on his whole salary & surely there's questions if he's currently worth that value

If we want GC to take on some of his salary then we'd be paying more at the trade table

I would be happy with either of those scenarios. He’s been on my radar for a while. And I’m not going to write him off with one bad year. I guess you could look at Schache as an example of it going pear shaped. But there’s nothing to say Wright has gone that way.

He would be bargain basement now surely ... they have killed has value not playing him ... and in an era of conversion wins games..he is a very good kick..

the question is ..can you play him along side Hawkins..

I’d be happy to but at a minimum he’d play some games and learn from Hawkins. Wright and Esava could be good long term partners.

No....maybe...not sure. I wouldn’t trade anything for Wright though. He is useless up the ground. If he could provide ruck relief maybe, but he’s no good on the ball.
