So I know it's been reported on Parfitt being requested by GWS & pick 11 from us, But apparently they mentioned GWS may offer Geelong the compensation pick they receive for Aidan Corr.

He is a great mark, but his field kicking and decision making are both atrocious. Would really need to work on those aspects of his game to be part of the back line playing the system Scott wants to play. Not sure he has it in him, quite frankly, and I really want Sav to succeed here.
I seem to remember a recent forward that had questionable kicking skills and decision making, got bagged a lot on forums, then made a pretty decent defender.. think he wore number 13 before Fogarty..

Someone who knows competition picks better than I know.
On the AFL app, trade video with Mitch Clearly said " with Crouch nominated St Kilda on a 5 year 750 g a year, Adelaide will most likely get pick 2.
How would Giants not pick 2 for Jeremy Cameron?

Brendan Parfitts manager said there is no way he is leaving the Geelong Football Club. Just signed a new deal. - The Age

The compensation is relative to your ladder position

As per a post by JohnZ on the Jeremy Cameron thread (thanks cause it stopped me trying to re-type or explain it)

Bands 2+4 are end of round (1st and 2nd rounds respectively)
Bands 1+3+5 are given straight after that clubs pick before traded, tied to ladder position (1st/2nd/3rd rounds respectively)

So crows finish 18th, have pick 1, get pick 2.

GWS finish 10th, have pick 9, get pick 10.

Thanks guys, much appreciated

Others may disagree....but FWIW..he's good all right and will get better. Just my opinion and I'm sticking with it.

I kinda get that feeling myself. He always looked a bit 'twiggy' early on but I think with a few years under his belt he'll do alright. Maybe not Natanui level, but certainly a "Stanley" level of serviceable

Club won't even ask Parfitt if he's interested, he's considered a "must keep" player and absolutely not up for any discussion.
Setting themselves up for disappointment if that's what they really ask for.

I also think perhaps the club learnt from the Caddy trade. Perhaps they always had him in the 'maybe trade' pile, but asking him certainly seemed to cement the idea in his head

Possible.

and even more so if we can do a deal with North to keep Higgins money.

Work out the absolute max amount we can pay him for two years and tell them thats what we will submit or take this and this. Its annoying as we should not have to pay anything if FA worked properly but these are the rules ..so let see wells and co use them(if they do not want to be reasonable)

That's it, isn't it - give North pick 18 or whatever for Higgins and they keep a huge chunk of his salary (if not all, they'll need help paying cap), up Jezza's deal to keep GWS at bay and all of a sudden you're getting JC and keeping your higher draft picks.

That's still not worth it. Parfitt has a lonnnnng future at the Cattery.

I see it reported on SEN that there is presently no external interest in Constable.

Interesting....

EDIT: Just saw I'm repeating previous post....it sort of suggests a level of vindication for the MC.

They will want to trade the pick out for someone.... If the are sensible they can have a heap of R1 picks that someone will trade for
