How funny. Ive been DM'd by multiple posters from more than 3 different teams. You have a reputation for being a know nothing who is incredibly abusive but can't take what they dish out. I actually said that it would be a case of take it or leave it with it being highly likely no deal will be reached. Just because Geelong says no now doesn't mean that will be the result by the end of trading. If Collingwood get pick 22 from Gold Coast and we have two second rounders ours and one from Carlton. Then perhaps pick 22 could be obtained in a trade for Clark involving Collingwood and us where Collingwood gains extra points and we gain 22 and a later pick. Either way you've embarrassed yourself here with the maturity of your behaviour. Im far from unreasonable and outlandish with trade suggestions. Pick 27 and Tucker is worth more than pick 22 in my opinion and that seems the most Geelong could ask for. Pick 25 or 22 is much of a muchness too.

Can I ask why you keep saying "IF Collingwood get pick 22 from GC" when that trade was confirmed as being completed a couple of hours ago?

It might just be that I'm personally not a massive Menegola fan. Plays his role and is a handy type - but for me, he's absolutely the glaringly obvious one we'd shop around.

Would he get us a pick inside the top 20? - yes I think so

Would we get on fine without him? - yes I think so

I'd be staggered if anyone offered a top 20 pick for Menegola.

He'll be 30 before the start of next season. His best is very good but his worst is ordinary, and his disposal is not reliable.

If we can see that, surely every other club can see it too.

There's three types of people in this world. Those that are good at maths and those that are not.

In saying that I totally agree. The points system is of extreme importance to those clubs needing points but is totally meaningless for the rest who are just focusing on what potential they can garner from that pick.

Believe me or not why would I care and why would I show you the information privately messaged. Minor problem with what you are saying. Freo loses nothing by waiting a year and clubs always reject the early offers for players. Fine. Keep a player that doesn't want to be on your list for the sake of moving a couple of draft spots. I cant see how Geelong wins from that move at all and they will have Clark salary on their books for another year paying a player who doesnt want to be there. Highly likely that on the last day of trading if pick 25 is still available they take that pick anyway.

Based on your past couple of posts, maybe you should be asking yourself if you're currently adding anything of value to the conversation and discussion around Clark, or if you're just posting to make yourself heard while not actually helping to move the discussion along

From what I can tell, there's yet to be any formal or public request that's been made by Clark or his manager in regards to a trade, though we're getting reports that both Geelong and Fremantle have rejected current options that have been put on the table

I get that you're a passionate Fremantle fan, but maybe your trade speculation would be best served with posting closer to home on the Fremantle board

Parfit and SPP would crash in with Holmes and Narkle for flair

Yeah I suggested this last year or the year before and was shot down. Still reckon he'd be worth having a look at. Tough, hard and aggressive. That makes up for touch and skill in some circles.

Mitch Robinson looked cooked at Carlton. Look what he's provided for the Lions. Most clubs probably wish they had a crack at him now. SPP is a lot younger and would offer us something that we've lacked on our list for some time.

Port housed him with a senior player to try and get his mindset right and he ended up knocking up a 19 year old. From all reports he’s a good fella, unfortunately he just can’t help himself in making terrible decisions.

I'm hoping for 25 and 27 for Clark, 34 and 55 but I'm starting to think Carlton won't hand the dockers 25 as well as 6.

I suspect carlton want to only give a future 2nd not 25 but it probably changes nothing for us as we probably want freo to get us a pick between 13-20 (from 3rd club) rather than take 25 or 27.

Yeh, they played finals 8 years ago already.
Their list is pretty damn good in my opinion. A good bill of health is really all they need now. I wouldn't at all be surprised if they are the big improver's. Another preseason for De Koning and they have all the pieces in place.

Plus they are about to start playing finals for the next decade so why would’ve d he leave that and come play at a club who will not be playing finals post 2022. Carlton will offer him a godfather deal so he's certain to remain at Carlton.

Close was plucked from Glenelg’s SANFL premiership side in 2019 with the 14th pick in the rookie draft at the end of that year.
