So P22 plus a future 3rd which will probably be around P45.
Surely that's a deal if Freo are willing to offer him a 4 year contract?

I would add that that deal is a very easy sell for Bell - " We are delighted to bring Jordan back to his home State , we rate him highly and believe we have cemented a fair deal with Geelong to have his services for the next 4 years"

With Freo's disastrous drafting history this deal stacks up quite well.

Will depend on how the cards fall draft night. The Brisbane/Robertson drafting has set a precedence. Imagine if a Knevitt is still on the table after night 1 and two or three clubs cant believe it, bidding war overnight on the cards.
Clark's name, and also Wells' name, being dragged through the mud by Sam Edmund, surely should have some form of defamation able to be lodged, right?

This is next level - he's crossed the line

Journalists should be held more accountable for what they say in these situations. Always after that click bait shit that just causes these back and forth and see’s their tweet get bounced about.

I would think that Wells would be a true professional and not air his opinion either way but I would also think he will have a dig at all the carry on in an interview sometime after the period closes.

When was the last time Geelong went after a player from another club who was still under contract?

2018 - Clark is drafted, seem to remember him saying he's happy to come to Geelong and wanted to get out of WA.

2019 - Clark put pen to paper on a two year deal earlier this month and Geelong’s General Manager of Football Simon Lloyd sang his praises.

“From the outset, Jordan has demonstrated a thirst to learn and a strong appetite for hard work,” he said after announcing his re-signing.

“He is a highly creative player who constantly challenges himself to improve, and most importantly he loves what he does.”

2021 - After shoulder and elbow injuries he tends to only put in when it suits him, definitely shows non team player traits and supposedly lays down the law to Wells.

Damn you Jordy, now I have to go to the expense of changing my av again. Burn that fkr to the ground!

The clowns have taken almost as much delight in making out Geelong are scumbags to trade with as they did with the Cameron deal last year and also putting the blame on anyone else bar the player in question.

It's being made out that wells is like colonel nathan Jessup ( Jack Nicholson's character in "A Few Good Men").

Im usually one to question Sam Edmund but I struggle to believe hed run with that story if it wasnt accurate.

The story will be true, the embellishment of it getting heated and hanging up on Wells, will not be - that's what Clark refuted, and that's how he gets away with it.

This is absolutely putrid behaviour by a player to go about things this way.

To set a precedent though, a club ought to allow this to happen some day and absolutely savagely tear apart that player in the court system to prove that contracts are meaningful.

Otherwise, if this pans out how Jordan Clark now wants it to it sets a dangerous tone for future players.

Perhaps the sporting world needs a rethink on contracts - not that I would have any inkling on how it should be done.
when you wish AFL had the US system of push trades, trade him to GC :)
