I'm not sorry to see Clark go. The guy ended up being a huge w***er.
He wasn't in best 22 in 2021 or 2022. I'm not sorry either. Once he declared he wanted out midway through the contract that was it for me.

Again?!!?

If you play 18 games in your first year for a team that finishes top of the ladder including some breath taking explosive moments. Then you finish 5 in the rising star from a group of the best credentialed draftees we have seen in 20 years then yeah you are very very exciting as a young player. They are simple objective measurements.

so basically a pick in te 40's. ... and we gave a pick close to 70. if we finsh top4
Unless list sizes increase there are only 60 max draft selections so anything above 50 is just a waste of airtime.

Next year we have approx pick 14, 32, 46, 50 and 64.

Wonder if being in his home state improves him, like some players who go home, or he does a Kelly and is worse for returning to his home state.

Freo will gift him at least 3 years worth of games, so if he is on 32 he will get to at least 77 @ 15 games a year minimum. Its going to be tight on the overs and unders. The kicker is if he is injured or not. I think he will end up playing 100 games at least before he retires, whenever that is.

Can someone please provide one shred of proof about objective attitude problems. He wasn't treated well even Cameron Ling admitted that and may have had a bad relationship with Scarlo. Somehow this is proof he is a bad egg. He came as one of the most well spoken dedicated young people in the draft. Clubs who spoke to him including us has him as future captain material such was his maturity and character when interviewed.

My favourite thing about some opposition fans is that they don't believe Freo caved/blinked first or whatever you call it, because there's a future 4th involved in the Clark trade - they somehow think they got the better of the deal and Wells panicked to get it done

Really don't see that

Pretty sure we would have always been happy to include a future forth as the future third is an upgrade on it

Similar. But I think he was recruited as a running half back and we (I reckon Scarlo) wouldn't play him there. London to a brick Freo will.

Cats should avoid interstate players like the plague at the draft...the traitor is gone and may his name never be mentioned again! Cats get Stengle who is a risk worth taking and Ceglar in and keep their draft picks. Bloody Fremantle just stuffed it all around and made it difficult to trade a contracted and required player.
