8 is not gonna happen and 27 is too low when hes contracted the middle ground is a 15-20 pick. Something where we get the dogs pick 17 they get darcy points and freo give up 27 and other picks and get clark is what i imagine the club wants to release him.

17 should be high enough to get Knevitt, if indeed that’s who we might be looking at with that sort of pick.

Would like to try and move another pick into the early 20’s too if possible.

Does anybody think Collingwood will get Kreuger for free in the pre-season draft? Yes that chances of this happening is low as clubs would want a deal to happen, but it's happening more n more eg Jack Martin to Carlton, Hatley to Adelaide...

Those players were worth a fair bit in trade. Kreuger is worth a future 3rd in trade. Wouldn't be worth the reputation loss over a 40s pick a year from now

I think he's considered as earlier he would have been in range if our existing picks but he bolted, though our picks are about to potentially get earlier

Why would we trade Clarke for pick 27, can’t get anyone playing in our seniors next year for that. Just keep him as he is under contract. If Freo want him they need to pay more or try their luck with the draft with their pick 27.

Hawkins was miles, miles, MILES better than Ratugolea from his very first game. His kicking was 99% confidence and self-belief (like most of his game really) until the last quarter of 2011 and then 2012. At one point in 2012 (before he hurt his back) he didn't look like missing.

It's an inaccurate argument to compare the two. Hawkins showed more from the start, and was better from the start.

Hawkins would've been a Top 4 draft pick had he not been a Father Son. SavRat is a top bush footballer in comparison.

We need to make an offer to Flynn. I think Sav could suit GWS with Greene, Hogan, Callaghan ( I am guessing ), Himmelberg in the forward line. Sav can be a big hard body in the forward line and back up ruck. They looked a little soft in the forward line in my opinion, but who knows? Maybe GWS don't rate Sav.

While not certainties, Neale looks like a young Ottens when he plays. Gonna be an absolute gun if we don't break him or trade him for a 35yo.

I agree that Neale looks to have potential but the way players can move if they want to now, the market is becoming very liquid if players are unhappy. I do not think we can trust our future for certain to any one player, probably even more so on a kid from interstate that I do not think has signed an extension at this point in time.

Im sure if we look on this site, there would be positive and hopeful posts in the past for guys like Clark and Krueger What I have seen , yes Neale could be a version of Ottens or Jackson. Probably a little too optimistic but one can hope.

Let's look at the two GF teams - how much of a hard edge do Christian Salem, Trent Rivers, Bailey Dale or Jason Johannisen have? Could it be that each of those players has a role to play, which may include utilising pace and/or skills?

We all seem to be forgetting that clark has his chances at AFL level after a great pre season campaign, and played average football.. He didnt hold his spot or deserve it. He lost it due to poor form. People seem to forget this

He was one player i was thinking of in that range...nasiah is another though he might go earlier..possibly draper too..15-20 is a good sweet spot in this draft i think.

sort of Krueger and a P2 (P36-P38) for a Fr2? I think they are around 700 points short? I doubt they will want to go into debt and affect next year.

If we are expecting a lot of players to drop of the list next year an extra pick in the 20's would be handy.
