LoL north asking more than ports first this year and next ...
Ok....but lol.
Issue is going to be that all of their young prospects are contracted and will be hard to find one that will agree to go to North.Pick 8 & a pick that most likely will be 10+ & say a prospect like Sinn or Bergman with North sending a 2nd round pick back doesn’t seem crazy to me especially when you factor in that what Port are going to pay him.
AFL.com saying GAJ has sung Bowes' praises to GFC. The two played in the same team in 2017. Not sure if he has spoken to Bowes, but wouldn't you think Bowes might reach out to GAJ and ask him for his thoughtsIf he says Geelong, then he'll get here...I think its as simple ss that.

Here we have further proof that long term drug use can really harm you.Just had a glance at the Essendon trading page.
Apparently they’re into Bowes and any extra (pick7) will just be a bonus whereas we just want pick 7 and bowes will be a hinderance…
In addition to that, their upper hand is that if he talks to 2MP and saad they’ll tell him how Essendon can make you a better player post GC whereas if he talks to Zac Smith he’ll tell them that Geelong will not make him any better.
No brainer for him based on all that.

Do some research. Perhaps start by listening to what Dangerfield and Mackie have said. Bowes has been on Geelong's radar all season ....... well before Pick 7 was even floated.
Crawl back under your rock.
Has anyone explained what the connection is between Bowes and Danger? I am curious why he would take an interest in a player from Cairns. Is Bowes into fishing? Here we have further proof that long term drug use can really harm you.

They've got more problems to deal with, closer to home.Just had a glance at the Essendon trading page.

If any AFL coach can rejig his team's game plan with effect to stay ahead of the 'hunters' it is Chris Scott.Opposition coaches will no doubt analyse and utterly dissect our 2022 game plan, to evolve theirs for 2023.
It'll be interesting to see what they come up. Even more so, how we evolve ours and how / where the Henry's, Bowes etc assist it.

That's why they've just appointed an ex-NAB CEO who had to resign after the Royal Commission said the NAB under his watch were crooks.

I read AWOL's post as having a foul and unpleasant odour.I read AWOL's post as being sarcastic.
Tbh based on his highlight package I'm more excited about what he could do than either of Henry or Bruhn
Thorburn is a very good operator but has largely gone underground since the NAB's sins were revealed at the Royal Commission. He's probably a good appointment for the club as he leads very strongly from a culture and team perspective. That said, I'm not sure enough water has gone under the bridge, and a few of these other revelations (which I was not across) will possibly mean the club is under some pressure to provide further justification around the decision. It gets worse. Thorburn is also the chair of City On A Hill - a fundamentalist church which preaches anti homosexuality and abortion doctrines...

Why is it a good fit, they are a rabble of a club! Surely you pick Geelong over Dons.Bowes going to the Dons seems a good fit and they are very, very keen.
In the end, it all comes down to which club Bowes selects.
Would just about guarantee pick 7 alone would be enough. TDK is much loved but on output not worth a large price tag for Carlton. Huge athletic talent but I think Carltons cap would be better served elsewhere with a Soldo or Meek level ruck in his place who may be more limited but supply enough to our midfield that it doesn't matter.
