Collingwood want him to stay, but given the challenges they have managing retention of other players and balancing their cap, they are limited in what they can pay / or want to pay. And not coincidentally, the announcement on DeGoey staying today, see's Henry come out a few hours later and say he wants out. So if you're Henry you're sitting back and thinking seriously about where you play next year. On one hand the club says they'll bring in McStay, and then says they'll pay a big lump of money over 5 years to DeGoey ......... so Henry's manager says "hey, there's a spot gone in the forward line, and less cash to pay you because they're intent on re-signing DeGoey".

I like barnett but the issue is 7 (if we get it) is too early for him and 15-30 which is where i think he will go is not a range we are likely to have a pick in.

Not saying i know more... But as far as Ruckman go... He's the best of this years crop and looks like a bigger quicker version of Brodie Grundy.
Friends in SouthOz rate him.

Guthries bros, Henry bros and who knows down the track, the De Koning bros.... to have all of those super talented brothers playing in the one side down at the 'new cattery stadium' would be bloody awesome.

We could however flip 36 46 51 and 54 to a club that needs picks this year for their future 2nd and flip that pick for bowes and 7.

Yeah we dare to dream, but I can't recall a situation where a club would have fielded a side with three sets of brothers on the same team?

The Guthrie's - just played in a premiership and will run around for a few more years until Cam retires
The Henry's - looking more likely now assuming a trade gets done and both relatively young
The DeKoning's - more an outside chance for this year, but might be more likely if SDK isn't a regular in Carlton's best 22 next year

Yep that's my thought process here, is that we trade all those later picks to a different club who wants points or multiple selections, for a future pick in the 20s and some late picks, and then hand over the 20's pick for Bowes and keep the futures. Essentially trade out of this draft for Bowes and Pick 7, and then push the late picks into next year

Leave it to others to update brothers from other clubs dangerwood but I can see where Geelong's new strategy is going.... from a team of geriatrics to a team of talented brothers, with the rest of the competition scratching their heads in bewilderment to our next success plan to another Geelong premiership.

The McKay twins in the AFL are not really two people. There's only one of them and he plays for both clubs. Alot of subterfuge is going on and it takes a hell of a lot of logistics, but it's been proven.
