If a club trades their future first round pick, they're unable to trade their other future picks - the club would need to acquire future pick/s from another club first and they can then trade thoseI thought it was only First arounders…
The brothers club. What other brothers are out there? McKay twins, McCartins..... Daicos's
Has anyone seen much of Jhye Clark? I've only watched some highlights (which are often a terrible way to judge) but I wouldn't say I'm too excited based on the videos currently available.
Don't shoot me down, I'm aware I can't judge off 2min video, hence wanting others input.
No doubt looks competitive, plays quite tough but he is only 181 I think? Which isn't a deal breaker but if competitiveness is is main attribute then at 181 it is. Disposal doesn't look great (in the short videos), uses both feet but poppy kick.
He's no Selwood anyway which I'd read some had made the comparison. As a kid there was limited vision of Selwood too but he played quick, had plenty of tricks, evasive, good step, 360 blind turns and handballs out of traffic etc.

He moves well for a player of his size...any idea of his combine numbers?Says Cal Twomey?? C'mon PO, Wells never uses other peoples rankings...
Not saying i know more... But as far as Ruckman go... He's the best of this years crop and looks like a bigger quicker version of Brodie Grundy.
Friends in SouthOz rate him.
We only have one ruckman under 31.
Great dynamic duo these two(Conway) would make once teams goes to a 23 man format...??
I can see tears when we get pick 7 but need to split it to pay for all the incoming talent.
You can either trade you Future r1 ... or ... the picks after it ...but not both. What is that ?? About 2nd rounders?? I know the 1st round policy... but 2nd rounders??
Then Sav took a private jet from Avalon.Saw him at Siketa Meats in Bell Park this morning… didn’t say he was going interstate![]()
Yes, all true.He is uncontracted and not in your best side after two seasons. His draft value has not gone up. His end to this season was pretty poor. He is a lot like jordan clark albeit slightly younger. You can see the talent but he hasnt delivered anything yet, cant get in the top 22 and is uncontracted and wanting to leave.
You think so, and I think so, but probably the Pies will ask more. I don't know Wright as an administrator well, he might have some Hawthornish spite?Fair enough but 18 is about right imo.
But is neale actually any good? You could argue that sav and wylie buzza were also hawkins long term replacements at one point. They still have to be good players to do it.
Excellent skills, frightfully slow and fragile.I'd happily take Hunter Clark
Hard not to be absolutely over the moon with this club at the moment. A premiership in the best way, fairytale end to the greatest of all in Selwood, players announcing babies, being a destination club, already having some super talented young blokes already on the list who will only improve and a few are premiership players.
Club has never been in a better place across the whole board.
Make no mistake - the Cats have a plan. There's a bit to play out but they see a role for Bowes and Danger has stayed pretty close to him in recent times. Adding some appeal for us is the lure of pick 7 being attached to Bowes.
Pick 7 is right in Geelong's cross hairs and there's one player they are absolutely targeting, and that's Clark. Local kid and has spent much of this year being mentored by a bloke called Joel Selwood. Cats are very keen to get him in as some think he'll play senior footy next year. A pretty solid character it seems and definite leadership potential. Geelong quietly confident that he'll be there at 7 - if it's a line ball thing - other clubs will be very aware of the go home factor that is playing out with some other locals like Bruhn and Henry and target other kids with less risk ........... something that I think is becoming a bit of an advantage for the Cats.
So much water to go under the bridge, but the Cats are well placed heading into a trade and draft period straight off the back of winning the flag. You can only imagine how aggro some other clubs are about our position.
I watched his games for Collingwood this year. He was just ok, had a few highlights, but disappeared in games for extended periods. This is why he didn't play finals. Drafted at pick 17 but would have slipped down since then. He's probably worth a middle second round pick at best.I think he’s going to be our best not a kpf forward since, well.. Stengle!![]()
This time two weeks ago I was stressing about coughing up the prelim to Brisbane.
A fortnight later and we won our last two finals by a combine 150 points, farewelled Selwood in the best possible way, have been widely celebrated for our classy post-game actions and now have two potentially elite young talents wanting to play for us.
It could honestly be the best ever fortnight I've ever had supporting this club.
Has one key ingredient that most other mids don’t have, he can go forward and kick a goal.Has anyone seen much of Jhye Clark? I've only watched some highlights (which are often a terrible way to judge) but I wouldn't say I'm too excited based on the videos currently available.

Lol there's no need, we have more than enough picks to do this
We won't need to split it. 7 Is for Clark.
You’ll see. Just try not to act too surprised when it happens. Will be the dumbest decision we can make.
Bruhn and Henry are not the players worth splitting a top 10 pick for. Rather pass on those players in all honesty… but in reality we should be able to accommodate without the need to split 7
Who are we splitting it with? You’ll see. Just try not to act too surprised when it happens.
No idea. But we don’t have the draft capital to get Henry, Bruhn and Bowes with our current hand.Who are we splitting it with?
Surely the Hawks will take a KPF dud at pick 6 before Clark? It’s clearly who the cats are targeting in the draft, but I can almost bet my house that Hawthorn, with pick 6, would take him. He is exactly what they need from a list profile perspective, and the demons of Mitch Thorp would still haunt that list mgmt room. Can’t see any scenario Clark gets to us, unfortunately.
