I'm praying your right. Where would that put us you reckon?Strong word is they did all this to get Watson. Would be very surprised if they take Sanders. After the success of Caleb Daniel as a shorter player, would make sense how they see him.
He did break the Hardwick story and was slammed for breaking it before he let people know lolReally? Twomey never reports on something unless he has info. Edmund is just a joke who consistently makes things up. Was caught out when I outed him on trade radio during the Jordan Clark trade - for making up the 'slamming the phone down and not coming back' BS.
He does it all the time, and barely ever gets anything of his own right that someone else hasn't already declared.
He's an absolute hack.

1 WCE - Reid
2 Norf - Curtin
3 Norf - McKercher
4 HAW - Duursma
5 WB - Watson
6 MELB - Caddy?
7 GWS - O'Sullivan?
8 GEEL - Sanders?
We need Hawkins next year more than we needed Chapman in 2014, even if we badly mishandled the latters 2023 season.Interesting.
It seems to be the foot injury that has them a ways apart?
Could be Chappy esque where the club are saying 'We only expect you to play x amount of games next year' and Tom doesn't see it that way.
Hope this doesn't get ugly, he's a champion and has served us brilliantly.
Why stop at 10? If we indeed see the same value in players that are available at 15-20? Or have players in mind that are indeed going to be there later. Our Pick will be Pick 10, not 13?
Not unreasonable to think that on a needs basis, if the Dogs, Hawks, Dees and GWS all don't want another inside mid, that he could slip to us.
Unlikely, but also not outside the realm of possibility. North will likely select Curtin and McKercher/Duursma, IMO.
If GWS select Caddy and Melbourne select O'Sullivan, as their boards seem to suggest, then there is a small chance we get Sanders. This is why I think we'll wait until the night comes before we do anything.

Take out Caddy and they're my preferences. I do want Hastie because that's one thing we lack.I want to walk away from the draft with a combo of Sanders, Caddy, Wilson, O'Sullivan, ZZ, Hastie and Stevens. Obviously you wouldn't take Stevens if you take Sanders. Probably not ZZ if you take O'Sullivan.
Duursma > EssendonJust briefly mentioned on trade radio by Sam Edmund that he heard Duursma could be involved in the Sav trade.
Time will tell on that one.
That's a chance of happening.Am i greedy to want 3? Sanders, ZZ and Hastie please.
They can trade their F2 because they got one back from Freo. Can they trade that though?
Current rules on future trading are that you can trade either your future first, or any & all picks from your future second on
Having traded their future first, are they allowed to trade their future second, or is it Fremantle's future second they're allowed to trade?
You and half of GeelongHawkins won't go anywhere. If he does I'll stick Scott to a stake and burn him myself.
My original post was that we would pick down the order as in we would trade back… not at 7 but to let’s say 13.I'm not exactly sure what you mean by this comment?
You said our pick will fall at 13, I corrected you and said it would be 10 - and that I think we'll keep it because there's a small possibility that Sanders falls to us on the proviso of a needs based draft.
Not sure what you're getting at with the above?
He's not going anywhere. It's a classic case of brinkmanship on Hawkins part.Hawkins won't go anywhere. If he does I'll stick Scott to a stake and burn him myself.
Oh no I agree 100%, would be gutted to see this go south. We need Hawkins next year more than we needed Chapman in 2014, even if we badly mishandled the latters 2023 season.
I'd be over the moon. Would be the most excited I've been for the season (and following seasons) as I have been for a long time.Take out Caddy and they're my preferences. I do want Hastie because that's one thing we lack.
Duursma > Essendon
Ratugolea > Port
Pick 22 > Geelong.
That's a chance of happening.

Not as excited as I was when we read Jhye Clark's name out last year.I'd be over the moon. Would be the most excited I've been for the season (and following seasons) as I have been for a long time.
I'm counting Jhye in that group, he's like an extra draftee for us.Not as excited as I was when we read Jhye Clark's name out last year.
Why would we quible over overpaying him a little. I suspect that like Joel he has played for well under his value for a fair bit of his career.Interesting.
