I thought Happy was okay tonight, I reckon he'll play next week. I was furious when I saw him and JLo both warming up, but Gilmore was certainly better than Dodd, Longmuir, Tarrant and Headland.

Ben Allan had Gilmore in our top five.

onya Dom. I'd noticed you are far from a 'happy' fan. But to come out and not rip him apart for his mistakes tonight makes it all good.

PS. While i'm on his bandwagon now, if I see him going backwards I'll slip into him pretty quick.

He made tons of mistakes tonight and loses his feet way to easily for a guy of his size. If he is in our 22 we are in serious trouble this year.

The whole blinking team made tons of mistakes tonight

Guess what he is in our top 22 and at 3 and zero we are in serious trouble.
Dont blame him though it is not his fault he is getting a game.

Yeah i am probably a bit hard on him, but i can forgive other players that have shown some sort of skill in the past. Gilmore continues to play crap game after crap game, very annoying that it keeps happening. I spose Des could also come under that category but i am soft on him for some reason.

Gilmore was shocking last week and shouldn't have played tonight based on that performance, but he was okay in the derby. He works hard to present an option and runs hard to get from one contest to another. That was the difference between the 2 sides, they had numbers at the fall of the ball all night because of a superior workrate. Gilmore would have covered more ground than Mundy, Headland and Longmuir combined.

Gilmore went alright. I had him around the top 5, maybe someone can tell us how his opponent went, Im not even sure who it was.
He needs to take the first option and no be afraid to kick it, always seems to be looking to hand it off. Have a crack son, he'll surprise a few of us I reckon.:thumbsu:

Any player that has a greater than 50% stuff up rate shouldnt be in the side.

Fact that longmuir is the walking wounded is the only reason he is in there...

I am tentative about bringing Warncock in as I wouldnt want to shorten his career if he is not up to matching it with the big guys.

Hell no! That would be a disaster in his current frame of mind. Gilmore has been cr*P agreed but he does have an uncanny knack of finding the ball. I think he is worth a bit of persistence and I think you'll see he will be a very versatile player towards the middle of the season, he just needs a bit of confidence.

Bump!

Just thought I'd blow a bit of wind into my own sails:thumbsu:.

Yeh OK, just a little bit more!:D
