We had rights to 2019 pick 1 after finishing last in 2019.
We didn't have rights to the second pick in the draft.

After compensation was granted we had 1 + 2
So surely the compensation is pick 2.

No, the PP pick always comes before any live pick of that round.

The PP is always the #1 pick. Rowell was drafted with the PP, just like Deledio as an example...

Your natural pick became pick #2.

This is the trade I sort of expect, with maybe a future pick thrown in to balance it somewhere along the lines. Maybe the Coleman Jones trade could be in this one too.

I imagine richmond would do 7 and 15 for 3 although GC might push for richmonds future 1st instead of 15.

If I were GC I'd take the current pick, I know everyone expects Richmond to fall off a cliff but Martin does come back he'll win games off his own boot!

Of all clubs I wouldn't be going near Richmond's future first. I'd love Carlton's one! What have they actually added aside from the media giving them a love fest...and a coach that was so bad last time it wasn't funny!

Why is Short being spoken about, is he looking to leave? Good player, but possibly not a top priority for the Sun's.

Make it Balta and 15 for 3 and it would get interesting.

Balta would surely be close to 3 on his own. Would be in the utterly untouchable list for Richmond though

Just my opinion.
He's not looking to get out and I doubt Richmond would even think about it.
I guess my main thoughts are that I would desperately love Callaghan in yellow and black.
But even with pick 3, I think the Giants take him with pick 2 anyway.

Limited by number of list spots we have available this year.
Already have 19 and 22 also.

Although 2 of Gobcus, Andrew, Van Rooyen would be really nice for us.

With limited list spots I would have thought the Suns would be the ones aiming to get 2 picks up to 1 sort of deal.

Or package Brodie with one of 19 or 22 for a slight upgrade.

Getting rid of 3 for multiple picks is the last thing they should be doing with limited list spots. Maximize the ceiling of each player coming into the squad.

I don't know where Brodie and Macpherson fit in but they really should be looking at the picks in that 12-16 range to package one with pick 19 or 22 to that team.

If GC are tight on spots and only going to take minimal picks, surely they'd keep pick 3 and look to offload 19 or 21. I would be tempted to trade 2022 1st rounder for 19 and 21.
