Commentators probably love not having to travel for work anymore. Is there a covid-related reason none of the commentary these days (apart from the boundary rider) is live at the ground? Getting really tired of special comments guys who can't offer much insight because they can only see the same thing we can on screen - all because they're in a studio in Melbourne.
Geoff in games like last night, it comes down to a bit of luck .....a good/bad bounce, a free kick, or an accurate kick
This team is definitely buying into Nicks the Coach & the Man
The development curve is upward & the exciting thing is, we've got 30-40% development left in players
Fog is starting to improve and have an impact on games ...... Ned McHenry who was soundly derided as a poor Draft choice is now starting to show why we selected him
Another derided player Chayce Jones, has found his niche at HBF ......can imagine a couple of years there B4 a move back into the midfield
Anyone still criticizing the selection of Thilthorpe over Logan McDonald.....maybe in future don't buy into all the media hype
It's amazing what confidence can do for a players performance ......Keayes has bucket loads now, Berry is getting better with each game, albeit still not having the impact he will in coming seasons
And still so much talent in the SANFL learning their craft .....McPherson (shocking this year), Hamill, Pedlar, Cook, and McAsey .....exciting times, but allow these guys to develop without the constant tearing them apart each week
Just feel, we're a Quality Ruckman short, and a player with electric speed .....like a kosi Pickett
West AdelaidePedlar will be our best Mid ....Berry with another Year under his belt ....Crouch backNot just yet with our needs. Midfield is still a standout area.

Didn't realise that was a thing in AFL. Hadn't noticed a drop off in quality. Is there a covid-related reason none of the commentary these days (apart from the boundary rider) is live at the ground? Can we get him fit? Pedlar I meanPedlar will be our best Mid ....Berry with another Year under his belt ....Crouch back
Agree though a tallish Mid with marking ability (yes my hobby horse) .....ala Fyfe, Danger
We have the Neale type mids now

West AdelaideIt appears just a weak core .....that's fixable via the GymCan we get him fit? Pedlar I mean
It's why I wondered about the Mackay/Sloane handball last night. Dunstall roasted Mackay over it, and fair enough too - if it was intended for Sloane. The trajectory of the handball made it appear as if it were intended for someone further away, outside the contest - but with the camera zoomed tight on the contest we couldn't see if that was actually the case. If Dunstall was commentating based only on the TV pictures we were seeing, then his commentary makes perfect sense.Didn't realise that was a thing in AFL. Hadn't noticed a drop off in quality.
I was dubious even after watching the new vision that the deliberate came off the Melbourne player.
But then someone on here said to watch spargos hand.
It is clear as day if you watch spargos hand that it came off him. Spargos hand flips up quite abruptly as the ball hits it. Murray was trying to handball further up the boundary line.
Good call by the umpire
Agreed... but we will get a good idea next Friday.Doggies look far more threatening. I can't even think about Melbourne winning a flag!
Why bother... as its not like he bases his claims on facts of any kind. Please please please send this to Kane Cornes to shut the bitter fcker up.
Correct call .....when tackled you have to dispose of the ball .....Murray handballed to grass straight in front of him
I roasted Dmac from my couch. It would have been difficult for Dmac to get the ball that high with intent let alone without it. Maybe you're right about Sloane not being the target. It's why I wondered about the Mackay/Sloane handball last night. A little disappointing... it appears some members are staying away because of covid fears.Crowd 31,373
Not bad considering it is a twilight game on a Saturday.
Since when has Waleed become an expert on AFL rules? If Waleed thinks it was deliberate then it definitely wasn't.
Nothing beats being at the game live!MY POV is that during CoVid lockdown we developed new habits, like watching footy on TV ......going to the Footy is also a habit, and once you break that habit, it's hard to get back
The AFL is experiencing this crowd downturn across the entire AFL ......it has a job now to re-establish habits of the past
In Victoria, the inability to decide on match day to go to the footy, and simply rock up and buy a ticket, is having a negative impact .......Club Members are even being stitched up by Ticketek and being asked to pay upwards of $50 for a ticket online above their memberships
So there are real issues at play
Hence why Doedee was so close chasing the ball to the boundary line, this surely would make sense even to Kane Cornes little head.He was actually hand balling it to doedee... this kid was massive in the final minutes. Would have hit doedee too if spargo didn't touch it
