Would you rather nobody trades with you and you win a premiership or would you rather everyone likes trading with you and your supporters look forward finishing outside the 8 every year? The list managers moved on a lot of our senior players like Thommo and Hay because they were never going to be good enough to win us a premiership. Hard choices but one which had to be made to make our club better. The Carlton list managers are no different. After being in the bottom rungs of the ladder for so long, every Carlton supporter would love to see your team climb to the top. And that wont happen without Ratten and his team being ruthless.

As for arrogance thats a massive generalisation. Dont confuse arrogance with confidence. I dont know if you remember but the Blues supporters were pretty smug in the early 80's when premierships were the norm. And why wouldnt you be? Ashman, Johnston, Harmes and the list goes on were all champions. Why wouldnt you be confident they would go out and perform?

Point is that Geelong supporters are arrogant and so are Hawthorn supporters. Carlton supporters will be when you make the finals again (most likely next year) - arrogance is simply a by-product of having a belief your team will win.

Oh stop letting reason get in the way of a good argument McCreviss!:thumbsu:

Agree totally. Can someone start an Inappropriate & Unnecessary Logic thread please?

No, it isn't. Arrogance is something that the Carlton Football Club and its supporters own. Others have tried to claim it, but have always been very poor imitations.
Good times or bad times arrogance is the Carlton Football Club.
We are Carlton **** the rest!

I think you will find that arrogance leases itself out to the team that wins the premiership. Expect 6 months of gloating and profoundly cocky statements from either Hawks or Cats supporters after this Saturday.
If we happen to win, I will change my user name to Phil McArrogant.

Excellent. Can I be the Admin? :D

Don't get ahead of yourself, son. First things first - you've got a blue and white striped juggernaut coming your way fast. Good luck but I reckon next year for the Hawks. :thumbsu:

Cheers. I almost forgot we were playing another team on Saturday. Thanks for bringing me back down to earth Thy ;)

And if you happen to lose and Geelong rip you a new arseh*le, then you can change your name to Phil BothMcCreviss! :D

Would love to see the Hawks get up next week.
Goodluck to them and hopefully I'll be seeing Crawford with a medal round his neck. He was very speachless and borderline teary at the post-match chat tonight.

Hawks for me next week :thumbsu:

I'm hoping the Cats absolutely smash the arrogant Tassie hawks toss pots ....lets see them get an injunction against an almighty hammering in the GF .
