I did a quick search and couldn't find any threads or posts in other threads about Goody on 5AA last night.
Did anyone else listen to it (and better yet - have a link to it?)?
From the bits I caught (around my wife and in-laws jabbering!) I was quite dissappointed.
Goody seemed to just reel out the same old rhetoric. As my brother put it there needs to be 'moar biff'. Show some passion, draw lines in the sand DO SOMETHING. Obviously this is better done on the field - but he hasn't done that either. I personally feel we despeartely need someone down at the club to 'break ranks' with the overly PC/professional mentality of 'its our collective responsibility' and do something that makes an inspiriational difference. I thought Goody had a bit of a chance to hint at this during his chat with Cornsey and Rowey but no dice.
Some points I remember gleaning from the discussion:
Summary for me:
- I'm not inspired by Goody as our Captain and hope to hell the players don't feel the same way. I really miss the difference Roo made on the field when some leadership was needed.
- The gameplan does have stuff we are yet to see, due to poor execution, and I hope to hell, like last year, it starts to come together!!!
I'm right behind the club but for once I'd just like to see more passion and emotional interaction between the club and media. I'm sick to death of feeling like we are the most professional and poliltically correct club in the league with no room for a bit of passion/spirit. I totally respect how professional we have become but it seems to me our leadership is almost too scared to allow the professionalism and some raw passion/emotion to co-exist.

Some points I remember gleaning from the discussion:
- Nothing special happened at training to go over the loss, they've reviewed it as they usually do and now move on
- Players take responsibility for not executing - and they're working on it
- Players support and believe in the gameplan = and they're working on it
- The gameplan has stuff we havent seen/understood yet, its coming once we execute but we aren't sharing even a tidbit on what it might be
- Tackling pressure is poor - we will work on that
- We'll continue to work on <insert whatever negative aspect of the performance that had a question posed to Goody on it>
- xxxx is our fault - we'll work on that
- We are 100% behind Craigy (but if we aren't we'll work on that - actually I made that bit up)
