Malceski has greater support as i believe Sydney have the best running backline in the comp. Mal, Kennelly, Mattner and Shaw. They all play across half back/wing and run the footy. Kennelly has been the target of the tag in most pre season and games and round 1 so i cant see this changing to much however i think the tags will rotate between Mal, Shaw and Kennelly. I think Mal is the most damaging but oppo teams appear to have targeted Kennelly instead.

I got talked into the Shaw selection and was never that keen but i always thought he could improve his avg more than other premium backs, but i think he could become alot cheaper. Hopefully MM uses him through the midfield if the tag becomes to impacting towards his HBF role. Also last year showd that he was starting to cope another reeason why i picked him.

Who are people looking to upgrade to?

Name your premiums that you already have and which players your targeting?

Are you looking to get players that are durable? that have strong finishes to the year? is it based opon if they fall in price whether you pick them up or not? Will how there side is going to determine if you pick them or not?

An example of this from my team is my forward line.

I have Franklin, Riewoldt, Pavlich, Gianciracusa and Okeffe as my premium/keeper forwards.

The other two premium forwards i want arnt going to be Didak, SJ, Chapman ect the real gun scorers. Becuase they have a history of missing games thus bad durability. Im targeting 4 players. Lockyer, Davis, J.Brown and Goodes. These players all have good durability. Goodes and Brown especially finish seasons off very well and should be apart of successful sides this year. Davis and Lockyer both play for Collingwood and we know they are just about favourite for the flag now after there performance and we know that successful sides are high scorind DT wise. Have a look at Round 1.

The two im ultimatly targeting are Goodes and Brown because both teams will make the top 8 IMO and both have great durability and finish season off in style.

Thoughts!

guys guys guys .... is there a partial lockout this week / is there always a partial lockout for thursday games ?

No partial lockout this round. Only partial lockout left for the year is for the split round.

On a more serious note, any reason why Ziebell would only play 66% TOG? The least of any Roo except Thomas who played the same.

But yet he got 92 DT points. What a gun he is

No idea, but if it is just a temporary thing and he does start to get around 80% TOG per game then I can't wait to see how he scores.

Almost a Dane Swan performance in relation to his TOG and score.

If he starts hitting Swan massive Dt points you better just shot me, I was a tight-ass and picked up Dangerfield instead.

Nice. I think you just dodged a bullet. Maybe not a major bullet but a bullet non-the-less.

Hopefully he should get plenty of TOG (esp in the midfield) with all the players missing from the crows side.

And dare I say rest him in the forward lines?

I can but hope.

I agree. Ill admit i was worried about Ziebell during the Match but then in the last quarter his 46 points he racked up showes his potential especially in the wet. IMO more TOG = DT tons

I was refering more to Dangerfield but obviously it looks as though Ziebell will do just as well.
I also picked up Dangerfield, although I am slightly worried by the fact that he goes missing massive patches. On the weekend he would score about 10-15 points in a burst, and then go missing for 10-15 minutes. Hopefully he can keep getting the ball at a consistent rate.

It seems he did not get much time in the mid at all on the weekend, I assume this is due to us missing players such as Burton, Knights and Porps in the forward line so we used him to cover up the holes in the forwardline left by these guys. When we get a few more back I think we will see Danger realized into the midfield more then round 1 which hopefully results in us getting a bigger return in dt points from him:D

do you guys feel thadg kennelly can replicate his round one score throughout the year? is he the type of player capable of averagin 100? how does he compare to nick malceski? thanks.

daniel rich or michael rischitelli? rich 52 this round rischitelli 130+... do you think rish can get 100+ this year?

Malceski is the better option of the two, but if you didn't start with either of them then you are probably wasting a trade to get one in.
