Absolutely gutted. Seriously considering coming down for the last round game against the Knights to watch him and some of the other champions who are leaving run around for us for one last time ...
Definitely have to go.
The end of one era and the beginning of another.
I can't wait.

Yes, who cares about State of Origin, the vehicle in which the sport was able to take the game national, allowing those who never had a team before in their city to realise the dream ;)
Mate, I could not give a stuff about the NSW SOO team. Simple as that. It's like asking me who I will follow in the AFL GF between Collingwood and Carlton.

Geez, this guy likes playing for c***ish(looks like i found a way around the swear filter, again!) teams doesn't he

Sports Tonight were reporting that they could have kept him and stayed under the cap, but he was released on 'compassionate' grounds instead. Does anyone believe that, or is it simply poor journalism? It makes no sense to me that they would release him, particularly when they will have to pay some of his contract anyway, unless they had to (i.e. to stay under the cap).

:thumbsu:

Brisbane have no need at all to chase a fullback

Blooding a replacement for Locky is their next priority

Corey Norman is basically a clone of Lockyer, he is a fullback or 5/8th, who is being groomed as Lockyer's replacement. I am more concerned with the outside backs (wingers) and also the hooker who is an absolute spud.

They could've kept him and stayed under the cap, but it would've meant probably no player signings and a shedload of cuts. Much easier to stay under the cap by releasing him.

The part that annoys me as a league fan is Inglis kept saying a few months ago he would never leave Melbourne and would never play against the Storm. Funny how quickly that changed.

White, haha funny stuff

What's the bet with Bellamy no longer destroying NSW, this Pillow never gets selected again?

lol.

I'm not too worried about the loss of White. Think we can cover him easier than Inglis. Saying that, GI had to go probably for us to realistically be competitive in the next few years. Sad to see him go, im sure he didn't take the decision lightly given he has pretty much grown up with the Storm and made his name at this club.

I wish him all the best. Thanks for the memories. :thumbsu:

Love of Storm, started with GI. :(

Likewise. I've found it hard enough to give a shit about Storm.. well league in general after our salary cap **** up. Now GI is gone... actually caring about the game and team again just gets harder.

The game is a lot bigger than any player, whoever he is or whoever he plays for.

In fact, it's that love of the game that makes league and its fans so special.

Awww snookums, your team got done cheating and cant hold onto all their players. Geez it's a tough life for you as a fan isnt it. It's going to be real hard next year when you back again, with 3/4 guns, and a decent team, and business returns to normal.

Go grab a spoonful of cement and harden the **** up

Sad to see Greg Inglis go but 1 of them had to go.Happy Slater,Cronk,Smith are all staying. We will be up there next season dont worry about that.Go Storm.

He'll be back ;)

Do Broncos fans care about this or is it just part and parcel of the game, players come and players go...

The Broncos know this more than any team I'd say.

They have lost 4 rep players at the height of their careers, all of them to other codes ... Sailor, Tuquiri, Hunt and Folau. Two have returned to league for other clubs. Only Folau was poached from another club.

They got nothing for them, just had to suck it up and move on.
