Kudos to AFC for doing the deal and you guys for the quality posts.

From what I have seen of him he looks like he can pull the odd very good game out and then coast a bit. Hopefully Sandi can teach him a few tricks and he will be a bit more consistent, I am sure Harvey will have a role for him.

As some of you have said he may be more focused now he is back home with his family.

I remember the great man Clive having issues with his Father being sick and wanting to go home to SA some years back and we convinced him to stay.

I felt a bit sorry for him as it would have been a hard decision to stay with us.

first class work from the Club to see what the kid needed and got it done without looking to hose the Dockers. Good stuff from Freo to show patience as the Carlton flogs piss farted about for no reason and took what was offered days ago.

I hope Griff finds his niche at Freo behind Sandi. Could prove to be a handy AFL player with mobility in the mould of Cox if the penny drops for him. Hopefully a change of scenery and acknowledgement that the Crows and Dockers have given him lifeline will see all repaid. Lets hope we see Griff v Sauce sometime next year. Serious clash jumper envy still remains.

Yeah, probably a good comparison in a way, both rookie picks, both move quite well for their size, similar build, only Cox took the next couple of steps to become an absolute gun, Griffin only teased us a couple of times. If there's a player Griffin should be modelling his game on though, its Cox.

Could still develop into a very good player, you never know with ruckman, quite often blokes you thought were spuds one year, develop into guns the next and then the opposite is true too. If he can just develop a bit more of a work ethic and competitive drive, he could develop into a very good ruckman for the Dockers.

With Griffin I think a lot of it is between the ears. He's a big man who plays like a small at times. Hopefully being back at home with his family in a new environment will help draw the big man out of him.

If he gets up and running he's a great tap ruckman, and has been able to go forward and kick goals occasionally as well.

i wonder if he will make it, i remember he started his career really well, but then fell away. i still hate him for kicking the winning goal in a fantastic showdown i went to at the start or 2008
