Sturt
Its been a long time coming but with the season over and the circus that is the Bigfooty draft board in full swing, I thought that I have threw my hat in the ring. With every team I feel like I have done the best with a combination of needs and best available for each team. I will be doing a mock rookie draft next weekend as I am back at school during the week. NOTE: I'm going on the basis that no players are upgraded from the rookie list which I know wont happen but adds some interest for teams like Swans who have upgraded a lot of players.

thanks g49, on the lions- really like Witherden but would prefer Berry at that pick who you had as still available and hope that Witherden slides to our next pick. like the Powell-Pepper selection but have doubts on Battle for us, would prefer 1 of C.Cox, Bolton, Gallucci or Clarke at that spot.

I think Witherden and Berry play in a similar style with Wittherden providing a role similar to Heath Shaw off half back which the Lions lack at the moment. SPP adds more midfield depth and Battle is there to become a third tall/foil for Schache in the future. Cox and Bolton are a bit risky that early. Gallucci and Clarke I definitely considered but was ultimately outweighed by SPP power in the midfield which you lack.

I also feel that GC will get on the front foot and take Taranto with their first, leaving Carlton with SPS.

Would be happy with Bolton @ #25 though.
I think its a certainty that they will bid on Setterfield but i think Brodie is one who would be hard to look past. Him and Cripps is a solid foundation to your next premier midfield. SPS was my next option for this pick.

Noises are that we won't be looking at Brodie with our first and this makes sense to me......but we shall see.

BTW. Well done on your phantom. :thumbsu:

Would love Geelong picking up c cox and Atley

Jack Graham at 52 surprises me, in the All Australian team and winning the MVP of the championship comes from pedigree with his old man being an SANFL footballer

I think Ainsworth and Berry is the way the Lions would hoping it fell you would think as both bring leadership which is something we're desperately missing not sure Witherden has that

My favourite phantom draft from a Fremantle perspective. Those first 3 picks would be a dream come true, I also really like Liam Ryan.
I'm pretty sure Freo only have the 5 main list spots, so I'd have us taking a ruck, possibly Olango, at 67.

Nice work but with the Saints 3rd pick (61 ATM) they wont need to another medium sized defenders, got a shitload of them atm.

More inside mids with speed & skill needed, then a key position forward for the future, but mainly midfielders, midfielders and MIDFIELDERS!

Hope we go with one inside mid @ 20 or 29.

You don't happen to be JG in disguise ;)?

I haven't seen 1 Phantom Draft with McGrath going at 1 is McLuggage really that much better than McGrath Essendon picking McGrath would throw a cat among the pigeons
You need to look more:
Bishop,
FootyProphet http://footyprophet.com/fp-phantom-draft-2nd-edition/,
AFL DraftCentral https://afl*******************/2016/10/27/october-2016-phantom-draft-afl-draft-central/
the BigFooty Phantom Draft and the Essendon board Mock Draft all chose McGrath as pick number 1.

Edit. Perhaps links to other sites are not allowed?

None of those are on bigfooty so I haven't seen any of those phantom Drafts but I specifically meant Bigfooty drafts

Bishop's draft is on BigFooty.
The BigFooty Phantom Draft is on BigFooty. (Who would have thought?)
The Essendon board Mock Draft is on BigFooty, on the Essendon board. As far as I can tell, the Essendon, West Coast, St.Kilda and Carlton are the only team boards to have done their own phantom drafts. Carlton have done two.
