We will see. I agree, it is very funny, initially.

Multiplayer is good fun if everyone actually decides to play properly. I have a feeling that GTA's greatest strength may also be its greatest weakness – freedom.

8/10 games I have played online have turned into a farce because either;

1. People decided to just roam around and shoot stuff
2. Someone decided to play pranks on their team mates (crashing a car load of people into the ocean/deliberately killing the boss etc)

Don't underestimate the immaturity of the average online gamer. As I said, if you’re playing an organised game with mates, yeah, it’ll be a hoot.

This stuff is much more of an issue on 360 than on PC or PS3 from my experience. I agree, unless the game is a strict shooter or FPS, it can be tough.

there's only so many times you can hear 12 year old americans call you racist names before you snap.

-The camera angles can be a bit weird sometimes, especially when driving. You get used to it, but they could have been improved. Its too often an occurrence to not be able to see where you are going. Especially when turning. Often you turn smack bang into an oncoming car.

I jumped in and loved the driving straight away. The camera has always been a bit rough in GTA games, but at least you now have plenty of options to choose from.

I think the only thing they could do to improve it is to not auto-centre the camera back once you've positioned it somewhere. I find myself moving the camera up a little bit all the time so I get a better view immediately in front, but you can always switch to the drivers seat view and use the right stick to turn your head when turning?

Nice perpetuation of a stereotype :thumbsu: And all PS3 owners are the mature, responsible type? Having read their efforts on boards all over the place, I can assure you they are not.

If you think the PC community is more balanced and well behaved, go and play DOTA or something. Heck, you're a counterstrike veteran, that's the worst dregs of society right there

The stereotype is fairly accurate champ. I can't tell if it's as bad on PS3, cause I don't play it online much.

PC is generally better, because it's usually older people acting immature, instead of younger people acting tough

LunchLady Doris and Karl Pilkington.

You are both giving me a headache.

Does every post you guys make have to take a swipe at the opposing system?

My house mate has an Xbox 360 and I have a PS3, we both got GTAIV on Tuesday and can't see many differences myself.

Have to admit, PS3 has a more user-friendly control though. And no Silver or Gold subsciption stuff.

Maybe read the posts before you comment next time?

I've read every post. He baits you with an anti 360 comment and you fire back with some pointless statistic.

Fanboyism at its worst and it happens over and over in every video game thread.

Grow up kids!

It's true.

And remember you can use a statistic to prove anything 85% of people know that.

So it's comparable to sticking glass shards in your manhood then?

Here we go, another person that needs a smiley face in a post to tell when someone is being sarcastic.:p

Although what should I expect from a guy who uses his name as his user ID?...

Interesting review out: http://www.videogamer.com/features/article/29-04-2008-389.html

With exactly the same setup, take a look at the shots on page 6. PS3 shots look really blurry, too much bloom, and honestly really bad. Seems the 'warm, fuzzy' is starting to wear thin already.
WOW, that comparison is shit, I can tell you right now it is nothing like that on the PS3 and my TV, there is definetly something wrong with that guys version, it is nothin and I mean nothing like that, it is far clearer, and nowhere near as blurry.

I have to agree, the graphics aren't exactly jawdropping.
In Context they are though, look at a game like COD 4 and you go, "wow those graphics are so life like and whatever", but then you gotta think that those levels are so much shorter, everything is so much smaller, but GTA IV is the size of San Andreas and a whole lot more detailed, go and look at the water at sunset and tell me that doesn't look exact to life.

In terms of how big GTA IV is, the graphics are phenomenal, especially when you can go to the top of one building and look at every part of the city, then go there and not have any load times in order to get there.

It truely is amazing they have managed to get this to work close to as perfect as possible.
