3AW reporting from the rooms that Hale has serious swelling under the eye and is still bleeding from the mouth. They say it has all the signs of a fractured cheekbone.

Which pr*ck hit him?

Hille. Will go.

Cheap shot and just about all confirmed it's a cheekbone. Hille ran from a scrimmage in the middle and was late for that ruck contest, I reckon he let a bit of frustration out and deserves many weeks!

Junior's also done a hammy so a few concerns, the doors opens for Mc<blank>...

Yeah, it was a gutless act by Hille and I hope he goes for 6. Solomon also punched Firrito in the neck and threatened to hit him and Firrito didn't take a step back. Bloody gun! :)

Keep fingers crossed - the club are saying maybe not a fracture but the media folk who saw him in the rooms say you can see the depression.
Hope the clubs optimism proves right (but I doubt it).

I was talking to a friend of mine in Victoria on the phone.

He said that a part of Hale's jaw (or something along those lines) was actually sticking out of the skin - causing the bleeding.

Ouch.

As you know as I was sitting right next to our interchange bench and when Hale walked back around there was large swelling on his cheek but then he sat down right in front of me while the two doctors were looking at him. The doc had a good look at it and felt around alot and then said "It looks like it is OK".

So hopefully he will be right for Friday night.. The swelling did look bad though but when I heard the doc mutter those words I was relieved.

Hille should get a few weeks , high contact , negligent , punch in the face etc etc

The best thing about Soloman's effort on Firrito was that Firrito gave a mouthful of abuse back , without delay...I wonder what Firrito said?

Something like......................

"Your boyfriend slaps harder than that!"

Didn't Soloman punch Grant or Thompson in the back of the head in a poor attempt to spoil early on in the game?Lucky for the Dons this isn't a Friday night Ch 9 tribunal assist match.

So we can assume Hille sniped him?

Surprised Solomon didn't get in first.

Hille smacked Hale fair square in the face at a boundary throw in, not sniped but a cheap shot none the less.

It was either a very clumsy attempt at a ruck knock, or...he figured he may as well hit something.

Well he is a ruckman, and he didn't get the ball all night...

Also, in the third quarter IIRC, Hale flew for a mark on top of someone, missed it then pretty much fell on his head on the way down.
While he was on the ground a little groggy, one of the Bummers came over and started shoving him and giving him stick.
I real gutsy effort from whoever it was

I originally thought it was Hille, but it may have been Bolton, not sure.
I think Spud came over and flew the flag for Hale.
A commentator said there's a bit going on behind play, but they never put the cameras back on it.

Any one else catch this incident and know who exactly was involved?

It was gutless dog Solomon.
