Fantastic to see that not only does he have confidence in himself, but also that others within the club have plenty of confidence in him.

I have been really impressed with Hammo, not only towards the end of last year, but also from reading all the positive reports about him during this preseason. His desire to push himself to new heights in order to maintain his fitness is to be commended and deserves to be recognised by all.

I wish him all the best for the coming season, and whilst I would be wary of him taking the number 1 rucking spot from the start of season 2008, I wouldn't be totally against it.

We have a gem of a player in Hammo and I can't wait to track his development in the years to come.

Jeremias, it's 3.30 in the morning and that efforts punctuation, spelling and grammar was flawless. What gives? Other than the Kinglake Hermit, anyone up and not smashed at this time needs help. There are support groups.

Definately an option up foprward if he is not rucking.

With his speed, size and leap he would be a hard man to stop on the lead.

Would probably be our best ruck option ast centre bounces but still lacks a little strength for the body on body situations

Hampson will be one of the very best of the 2006 draft. An inspired draft choice. Looks to be around 202cm now, but still has unbelievable speed and agility. He's more than just a lumbering ruck when in the forward 50, he is in fact an oversized, fast leading forward with an impossible to combat leap, as the Dees discovered last year. A huge talent. When you consider our other ruck talent - Kruezer and Aisake - plus the our emerging midfield talent, the only outcome is success and a lot of it.

Spot on.....but I can see it happenning before 2010......Hampson and Kreuzer definately have the potential to be dangerous up forward......Aisake too athletic to dismiss succeeding there also.

I nearly fell off my seat at that centre bounce!!

That and his chase of the intercepted kick for his first possession gave me goosebumps..........the guy hit the ball at full tilt, Hammer was standing still, chasing down a mid and got a hand on him over a 30m sprint........just unreal..........

Hampson has serious hops and incredible reach!

His palming of the ball is pretty good for someone who changed codes.

Really impressed with Hampson's attitude. Everyone knows he is an extreme talent, but given his non-football background, he could have easily become a "project player", languishing in the VFL for 3 years. He seems extremely determined to fast-track his development e.g. using a personal trainer to enhance his fitness base. That's an impressive initiative for someone who was only drafted a year a ago.
