Stevo for Club Champion in 2002!

What a lovely day! Cold and Rainy, in fact it just hailed here and I am rugged up in front of the fire waiting for the footy to come on TV (go Geelong!!).

I have not been round much this week so some of these things may have been covered in other posts, I apologise if they have.

:D Congratulations to Roo on playing his 200th game tomorrow. A terrific captain who leads from the front. I hope he and of course the team have a great game tomorrow and bring another 4 points home.

 Not sure that Daniel Schell should have been dropped. I think he deserved another game. I noticed he kicked another 3 goals for Centrals last night so he is doing all he needs to do to get back in the side. I feel for Rhett Biglands, he was playing really well before he got injured and he should be playing for the Crows tomorrow. I realise that Ben Marsh and Matty Clarke have done a reasonable job while he has been injured and it would be difficult to drop one of those two. I just think that Rhett and Matty would have been a better combination against Spider Burton. Being and Eagles fan I am happy he is playing for us (god knows we need as much help as possible :( ) I hope that he dominates and gets his spot back with the mighty Crows. :) I suppose it just goes to show how tight and difficult it is to get a game with the Crows at the moment, I understand that the only player on our list that isn't playing this weekend is Trent Hentschel and he is expected to play next week. So barring any injuries this weekend, we could possibly have our whole squad training and representing a team next weekend.

I am confident the boys can win tomorrow. I just hope that is doesn't snow in Canberra! I also hope that a few Crows fans are there to cheer the boys on to victory and help Roo celebrate. My prediction is the mighty Crows by 35 points.

I would be more confident if the weather was fine. If it is wet, we need to continue with the ferocious attack on the ball, particularly early as expect the Roos to come out firing. IMO, midfield will be the key & kb as you mentioned Biglands / Clarke option would be better suited in the ruck. Burton doesn't like opposing ruckman who jump into him & so we pick 2 tap ruckman  Will be interesting to see if the Roos gun-4 on the bench start that way. I doubt it & they will probably all start with key roles. Crows by under 20pts & a danger game.

I'm never confident but the fact it's going to be rainy and a generally poor weather day doesn't worry me at all. We play quite well in such conditions, we have a lot of runners who go in hard for the ball and it should suit us as long as we play wet weather footy (and not muck around with it). It's not as if our marking power up forward is suddenly neutralised :p while the Kangas have a couple up forward that could have been a real menace in perfect conditions.

It's funny but I've heard contrasting opinions recently, that

1) wet weather evens up the sides
2) class shines through in the wet and the better side wins

I'd say both are applicable, depending on the game. It's probably going to be a slog and I hope our boys are ready for the contest!

Tap Ruckman/Burton

It doesnt really matter what type of ruckmen u chose.. coz we have Porter neway.. so if Burton couldnt handle ur physical ruckmen, I am sure Porter could do the job..

Hope its raining, hope its a close and tough match.. and I hope the Roos win.

Am hoping the boys will come out firing.. and be as tough and hard at it as possible.. of course they gotta be accurate..

And also wishing and HOPING(with all my heart) that Grant,Harvey,King and Pickett come out firing, and show everyone y they are so highly rated.. and show everyone they deserve to be rated as highly as they are..

Hope Mcleod has a bad day (tho I dont think he has many bad days, does he?)

GO ROOS
Congrats to Roo on his 200th..
:p
