world's biggest sook if true.

"applaud" that..........

CA were aware of it and it was raising money for PNG Cricket. Must have been something Bichel got in contact with him about, so yes well worth applauding.

Hauritz continuing to do everything right.

Just made a quickfire 51 (from 45 balls) under immense pressure for NSW, bringing the target up to something vaguely respectable. This was against an attack featuring Clint McKay (one of our best 3 ODI bowlers IMO), James Pattinson (probably the most exciting young paceman in the country, ahead of Hazlewood, Copeland, Faulkner, anyone, and should be right in contention for Australia in ODIs), Dirk Nannes and John Hastings (both of whom have represented Australia in ODIs and are very good bowlers). McKay, Pattinson and Hastings are all in Australia's 30 man WC squad.

Sheesh, the guy is seriously staking a claim as a genuine allrounder, Vettori style.

IIRC he was a #4 batsman/part-time spinner at under-age level. Didn't he captain Australia u/19s or something?

Always looked good at the crease - perhaps an alternative to Smith

I get the feeling that his file is stamped with "Won't be selected for the Test team", in a sort of Hodge-esque fashion. He's obviously pissed someone off, big time.

The Australian cricket team has always been a bit of a boys club, but then so is this board.

with the form he's in, he should be in the team yesterday

xavier doherty literally wouldn't get a game for bangladesh

i can say, without hyperbole, that he is the worst specialist bowler to play test cricket since ian salisbury

Bryce McGain says hi.

So doherty and beer combined to take 4/420 with the ball and combined for 30 runs in 5 innings with the bat.

They took the place of a much maligned bowler yet a bowler who was averaging 35 with the ball and 35 with the bat in the 18 months leading into the ashes.

The main reason ponting seemed to want a leftie in was to deal with kp, well doherty got him once after he made 227.....

Im under no illusions, hauritz is no superstar and he isn't the answer to our serious problems but he's a better test match prospect than doherty or beer that's for sure.
