This week is ridiculously important. If we drop it then I would think we are gone, I can't see us turning it around after dropping 2 in a row to opposition we are expected to defeat. On the flip side every time this club has been challenged we have risen and responded in the best possible way.

We come out and win this week we are back in business and well truly into it up to our eye balls. We get a break sitting 1st or 2nd with Gibbo back against the Swans and Mitch match fit, we will be primed for our usual tilt at the flag.

This week is not only season defining but it's dynasty shaping in a sense.

I've got tickets to the hill section in the stand. Does anyone know what the story is? Just rock up and take a spot wherever I like? The earlier the better I assume?

*No pressure.. Haha!
It is a very important game, as they all are from here on in, top four is going to be so tight come season's end.

Yeah just get there 10-20 minutes before the bounce and you can usually snag a decent spot. First come first serve, no reserved spots in the standing room.

Edit* Maybe give yourself a little more time than that as this will probably be a capacity crowd and it will fill fast.

Great. Thanks for the info. Best of luck for Friday.

The best outcome and hopefully the most likely outcome for top 4 will be
1. Freo
2.Geel
3.Haw
4.Syd

Thats us losing 2 more games (Most likely Adel/Freo or Freo/Geel)

But who knows, still pissed after Fri nights effort, but we did the same V Rich last year then went on a run. Just a waiting game now.
Sydney would be odds on for top
with Freo 2nd

check their favourable draws

Out - Hale, Lake, Sewell, Ross
In - McEvoy, Hill, Langford, Cheney
Suckers to Sub.

We might be without Lake & Gibbo for Swans so need to give Cheney a run.

Like the majority have suggested.
Out: Hale Sewell (Injured) Ross Suckling (Lake suspended)
In: McEvoy Hill (if fit) Langford or Hallahan (Cheney for Lake)
That's 3 changes if you discount Hill. Hawthorn don't usually make that many changes?
I find it amazing that Ross gets a game before Langford and Hallahan. The games I saw him play on TV he was no where the standard of those 2.
Someone on one of the threads said Langford was having trouble with his calves and could not run games out. Is there anyone out there who can verify this?

It has also been said ad nauseam that both Langford and hallahan have been sent back to BH to work on some aspects of their games. If there is a niggle then I doubt he would still be playing at BH[/QUOTE]

Maybe its time to change. North made 4 changes on Fri and made us look like wooden spooners

His marking has improved out of sight .....something he's been poor at for his size for a long time and can hit the score board .......he is also a better tap ruckman ......worth noting today that when BB was in the ruck that the Bombers thru the young kid at him , when Lowden went in they thru Bellchamber's at him .....clearly to try and negate Lowden's influence .
Seems like Lowden has really turned the corner and is well a truly on his way up the straight. Definitely needs more game time in the seniors. Would be a disaster if we lost him after putting so much development into him. Does anyone know what his contract status is?

Slippery conditions for sure come Friday night
Even without rain, the dew there makes it difficult to play attractive free flowing footy

Time to get down and dirty Hawks

Out: pretty, cute footy
In : tough finals-like intensity, head over the ball, no holes barred aggression

Out: Sewell(inj) Hale, Ross, Suckling
In: Langford, McEvoy, Hill, Cheney

Yep, their plan of buying a premiership rather than working for it appears to be on track so far.
With the fixture, they didn't need to spend the money.

It's been handed to them on a platter, hang on to the platter properly and you lift up the silver wear, drop the platter....no silver wear

A week is a long time in footy. An overused cliche I know but look at the difference it made for North who have far less class than us.

The media will be critical of us all week which should steel the boys. Dermie will write a juicy article about some of our star players being past it and they will come out and tear it up.

Adelaide are a good side but we should and need to beat them. Our season is basically on the line next week and I doubt we'll see the same complacency and undisciplined that we saw on Friday.

Ins: Big Boy, Langford, Hill, Cheney (if Lake is suspended)
Outs: Hale, Sewell, Ross, (Lake)

Match ups:
Shiels on Dangerfield
Lake on Walker (Spangher will have to do the job if Lake is out)
Langford on Sloane
Stratton on Betts
Spangher or Cheney on Pod

Duryea and Schoey playing for their spots with Gibbo's return imminent.

An aggressive, hungry, disciplined and good decisions under pressure Hawthorn will win. A going the man not the ball, disinterested and panicked Hawthorn will lose by 5-6 goals.

Can't the AFL just lift the platter for them?
