I'm getting the impression Hallahan won't be with us next year

I'm disappointed if so but if he's the best man to be picked, as well as being able to increase his value, shouldn't he be playing?

Good to see Hale not being sent to Box Hill but been given some time to rest and recover.

Great to see Langers back in the team. Do not drop him again, whatever his deficiencies are more than made up by his abilities to win the ball.

Would be captain after Hodgey if it was up to me.

I can't see how he was dropped other than he either:

1) Was told to go back and works on skills
2) Was being rested for the business end of the season
3) Supermanned someone's girlfriend at the club

Langford gets a free pass from so many but Simpkin who has far greater ball winning abilities gets roasted on this board.

IMO young players get over rated on this board, I must be one of the few who haven't been overly excited by Langford, he has been serviceable but that's about it. Langford, Hartung and Anderson get talked about like they are superstars, while I agree they are promising and exciting prospects and I really hope they all develop into the players we need them to be they have a long way to go.
The only new players that have truly showed they deserve to be in our best 22 so far are Litherland and to a lesser extent Ceglar.

Langford, Hartung and Anderson get talked about like they are superstars, while I agree they are promising and exciting prospects and I really hope they all develop into the players we need them to be they have a long way to go.

Simkin's ball winning ability should not be overlooked either. It is certainly and area where the Hawks struggled a bit last week.

This upsets me.. When Simpkin and Ross gets gigs over him then alarm bells start ringing! I mean for a guy to come in kick some goals and avg 15 touches a game in his first season in the 1s makes me wonder how it went wrong.

i really like boxer but agree that he probably wont be with us next year. Has good disposal, can kick goals and has good hands- strong overhead. Unfortunately for him though is that he is as slow as a treacle and has no tank. As such he doesn't cover anywhere near enough ground as he should as a midfielder. Hate looking back but to think that we took hallahan at 38 when Luke Parker went at 40...,.

Rumour has it....think I read it on here somewhere, at the draft the recruiting staff wanted Parker but Clarkson wanted Hallahan. Hence what Clarkson wants Clarkson gets.

Michael Talia is playing with Footscray VFL side, has not been in the AFL side for some time. On the premise that Western Bulldogs is not quite as good as Hawthorn, why isn't he getting a game if he is better than Kelly.
