You have to be extremely careful doing that. If you get it wrong -- ie use too much force or end up having the nozzle scrape your ear -- you could damage your ear drum or scrape the lining/tube slightly, causing a possible infection. You also should be careful with irrigation (whether by yourself or your doctor) if you've had symptoms of a virus or ear infection. Best to see a GP--bulk billed to medicare, anyway, quick and painless.
