Well it is understandable it took a while, he should have said 'his surname is the same as an official British Language' or something like that.

If it wasn't for the ham-string this year he would have gotten away from her.

A SPORTING Life snout happened to be on the same recent flight to Las Vegas as the Essendon footballers embarking on their end-of-season trip. Apparently all of the Bombers sat in cattle class except two: James Hird and Matthew Lloyd. When, at one point, Mark Johnson was becoming a tad rowdy, Hird emerged from behind the curtain and simply put a finger to his lips. Minutes later Johnson was asleep. Same snout said the group of Bombers was next seen at a Vegas bar that overlooked a massive pirate ship. Again, the two notable absentees were Hird and Lloyd, who were spotted in the roped-off VIP area. The Essendon players are big Vegas fans, with several nominating the Bellagio Hotel as their ultimate holiday destination, except Andrew Welsh, who is said to favour the Hilton.

On one hand, a few here are giving him a slap on the back, on the other hand, a few others are disappointed in him.

One alleged minor lapse of judgment does not make a man.

Andrew Welsh does a lot of community work for the club, visiting schools and community organisations etc

Andrew Welsh attends high level meetings and events on behalf of the club, with politicians and high level executives

Andrew Welsh is a decent footballer.

Andrew Welsh is an all-round nice guy who is decent and kind to people.
