But I'm pretty sure the selectors don't even watch Adelaide games, so I'm not surprised he didn't get the nod.
Houli played a game worthy of a nomination, but I thought there were a couple better this week.

Up until Monday I thought it would be a really really tough nomination with C Rioli, Hall, N Brown and even Wood but after seeing Houli he was definitely the worthy recipient.

Look for Courtney Dempsey to get a nomination before the season is up. Jay Neagle may also get one as he will probably receive Lucas' position in a couple of weeks when he gets fit.

Thought Dempsey played a better game to be honest. But Houli still played pretty well.

We could well have 4 or 5 rising star noms this year with Dempsey, Lonergan, Jetta, Gumbleton, Hislop, Hocking and Neagle all likely to play a fair bit of AFL footy.
