Dawson - classy player but more cherry on top. Don't fully trust deep in the trenches.
Laird, Soligo, Berry, Schoenberg all B graders at best. Similar build, speed, kicking, etc.
Rachele - more a natural forward, not midfielder.
Pedlar - lacks endurance.

sloane contributed SFA to that, he's a liability in there. Keays was good.
Neither shouldn't be in there.
winning the ball 15 times as a guy that plays all his time on ball is horrific.
It's definitely a concern.
I actually think much of the earlier debate was just because some people consider A graders as the best of the best while others have them in an elite category above all letter grades.
What ever it is at the top, the elite, start every year of as a likely Brownlow favourite, we need it.
A lot of debate around where someone like Laird falls it's probably pretty irrelevant, he's 29 and we need to be opening a 5 year premiership window if we are serious about a grand final, but that's not going to happen for a couple of years.
We don't want to finish in the top 4 for the first time with a 31/32 year old Laird leading the midfield.
Some of the other guys might end up A graders but only in a world where there are also elites.

Yeah but he had a big last quarter against the Lions (after doing two tenths of **** all for the first three).
The sooner we fire that Neil Craig clone midfield coach at the sun the better. He can **** off back to West Coast.
Soligo has no weapons. Too slight and short and his biggest downfall will be his speed which is lacking. As he gets heavier that is likely to be an even bigger issue. We need to make tough calls. Walker, Sloane etc have to be retired un the next few yrs. One this yr one next yr.
Van Berlo , the worst 200 game player in the history of our club. Surprised he made it to 50 games.

None of our young midfielders will be A graders and none are anywhere near elite. I'm talking about Berry, Shoenberg, Soligo, Hately. So we're banking on 3 genuine small forward in Rachelle, Rankine and Pedlar somehow turning themselves into A grade midfielders. It's not going to happen.
Depend how you see it, we are tracking a lot further than most of us thought and on track to just finish outside of the 8 so is the rebuild complete?

Soligo had skill and iq as his weapons last year. Was also a lot stronger at the contest. Has really deserted him this year.
Still has them this year but not showing them as consistently.
Lets see in a few years with the development of Rachele and Pedlar who were both taken with top 10 picks (Pedlar was technically pick 11).
