This is off topic and a random question. The 1967 Grand final between cats and tigers was close


Was cats robbed in that grand final? There were some interesting free kicks or umpire calls that helped the tigers

Eagles started poorly in 92, I think 2 wins a draw and 4 losses at rd7 then in a quirky coincidence from round 8 went 4 wins 1 loss all the way to the flag.

People always leave out Michael Brennan when talking about our backline back then but he was the general down there and tough as old boots

That loss was a 1pt one to us. Turley hit the post from 60 which would have sealed it late on. Also it was 3 losses, to Sydney, Cats and Lions. The other losses were against saints and dogs late in the year.

15-6-1 season. You guys recovered well after that slow start.

They were certainly a great team and played scintillating hard fast football but in a 15 team comp but still only got 2 flags that were in 92 & 94
Hawks team from 86-91 was also up there along with the Lions Dynasty team

If the eagles team had another 2 flags then we could make that call but cannot agree its the best team ever

I was joking. It's very hard to compare though. They were a good side and as mentioned after that slow start due to injuries I think they certainly were a good side. That Geelong team they beat were pretty good.
