How long do Kochie and Thomas wait?

Hi rexy,
Nice to here that your young doctor is concerned about older mens concerns. Are you getting your prostrate examined regularly. They can only feel one side so an mri is now used as a better test. 1954 might be interested in the mri bit. Can either of you recall a wes fellows who played for collingwood?

Quite clearly. That is, I remember Wes and that era.:)

You probably turned it off. I was silly enough to watch the replay. Plenty of players were red eyed and teary in the change rooms.
Yeah i probably did. And i was fritzed with alcohol. Just my point with Dan to me seeing him obviously hurt is a good sign. A lot of other players need to hurt for this club. Not just players either. The bar staff at the club the cleaners..........everyone. I dont like whinging but I'm bloody hurting. I'm doing all i can. Maybe i can do more. I want another Port Adelaide Premiership soon.

How long do these 2 guys wait before they give Ken his marching orders? That loss was on his failure at selection, and failure to develop the players skill level. He is the head coach and these facets lay directly with him. He aint taking us to an AFL premiership, he doesn't have the nous or the ability. Strong corporations see the writing on the wall and act. The Crows saw it with Sanderson, contract or no contract, and he was gone. They finally saw it with Trigg and he was gone. This aint the club I have been following for 40 years, being scared to make the tough calls. How long do we wait? Over to you Casual Keith and Kochie!
Agree this was lost at selection. So pissed of with not playing eddy all year as others have said cant work it out. Had to play trengrove in defence last week for maggies once hombsh went down to prepare him for first final.

I have no doubt in my mind that all the players are hurting badly, and have been depressed all day just like us fans. But hurting and being mentally strong enough to overcome a huge set back are two different things.

I ****ing hope they do overcome it, but how many times have we failed the last few years when we have been challenged. Just because they are new players doesn't mean they will be good enough to overcome it. Look who is going to lead them out of the desert? It wont be Moses, it will leaders both on and off the field who have failed over and over again.

I was saying something similar to a mate on Facebook today:

I think our senior players (and some younger players like Impey) are too prone to going to water in key moments. Our younger players are confident, aggressive, and want to win. Poor Dan Houston - I saw footage of him crying in the rooms after the game. I want the results to matter that much to every single player who puts on a Port Adelaide guernsey.

Are you ever going to contribute anything of value to this forum, or are you going to continue derping your way through your mistaken existence?
I think you'll find that u were the douche that started with the FB dribble.
If ya can't take it, don't dish it out...

Had to leave several Port Facebook pages today. It seems that players are beyond criticism and we are bad supporters if we say anything that isnt all sunshine and rainbows. Kochie is copping it for his post match speech.

I'm nowhere near as old as Rexie or '54 but I clearly remember Wes Fellowes playing for us. Collingwood star, Copeland Trophy winner - he was ****ing rubbish and ended up spending a fair bit of time in the seconds

Well, he did manage 21 games and 7 goals in '91 (and I think a couple more early the next year?)

And even though he copped a fair bit, I'm pretty sure he actually came third in the B&F.

Yeah, it was that kinda year, lol...

Im sure they're hurting now

But reality is that they didn't put it all on the line that night.

I genuinely believe they did against Hawthorn and Geelong in previous years but I didn't see it against West Coast.

There was really no excuse in the first quarter and extra time. Extra time in particular, being unable to outrun one of the oldest lists out there, hugely concerning.

But this hurt can't be about feeling sorry about ourselves. At the end of the day, the reality is that we lost to a old team that just snuck into the finals. We didn't lose to a premiership threat here. This team we lost to hasn't even been a premiership contender in years. We lost to a side that had zero flash and a lack of talent in comparison to most clubs.

It needs to be a complete mindset change. I see a stubborn and stupid playing list that got nothing out of the regular season games against West Coast. Working harder isn't going to turn it around.

Whatever happens though the board needs to be wiped clean next season. Player reputation and brownie points need to be scrapped.

Yeah, I reckon Koch should have kept his powder dry instead of shooting his mouth off in public straight after the game. Poor form from the chairman.
It wasn't that bad but he does get a bit emotional.

Don't have a problem with the Koch comments let's face it our coach gives limp dick pressers

On the other hand, he pretty much just echoed what a lot on here have been saying, and complaining that the club is too soft.
