Wow that's witty.
You should write Tom Derickx jokes for him. God knows he needs the material.

If Johnson didn't go for whacking McVeigh in the nads last round, Macca sure as hell didn't deserve anything fir this. Plus Langford got straight back up and kept playing. Below reportable threshold for sure.

Dunno about the MRP saying it was a tackle though, bit like Johnson " trying to gain position to win the ball" last week though.

I don't care if McVeigh got reported or not, but the one thing I will say is it doesn't seem to matter if the player gets up and plays on. The 2 players that Hodge and Lewis hit both played on, but they got 5 between them.

If McVeigh doesn't get suspended for that bullshit, I will give up on the AFL and follow another sport.

LOL at people saying there is nothing in it.

Just checking in.

What sport are you following? Must be non contact. Synchronized swimming? World Series Hyperventilation?

Like you know, Hodge and Lewis are know snipers. McVeigh isnt.

Always feeling hard done by.

Looks like McVeigh swung an arm into his chest and Langford went down like he'd been hit my a cement truck.

He was fine after the incident, he copped another head knock in a later accidental incident (involving Stratton), which resulted in Swallow being subbed off.

Which prob made it worst from the initial thug act. You dont think he was suffering issues and the second knock was made worst by the first?

But we all know that his head got in the way of hodges elbow as is always the case when hawks play anyone.

No, because Hodge just contacted the chin.

Whereas McVeigh's 'thug' tackle hit was to the face.

Not the AFL, that's for sure. That's it for me. I can't be bothered following this comp. I've steadily lost most of my interest anyway over the past five or six years - the Hawks playing Grand Finals is probably the only thing which has kept my interest up. I'll keep one eye on Hawthorn this year in the unlikely event they can do the threepeat, but I'll probably just stick to the NFL, MLB, and EPL from here on.

You can have your NSW academies. You can have your GWS draft pick domination. You can have your spud free agents and 19yo key forwards getting paid millions. You can have your gaudy neon advertising around the ground and sports betting ads blaring over PA. You can have your Sunday twilight footy and Premium Gold reserve seats at $70 and $10 booking fees

You can have your Essendons shooting up their entire team with prohibited peptides and the corrupt AFL & media protecting their players from their rightful 2 year ban.

You can have your AFL making up the rules as they go along and changing them at the drop of a hat whenever they see fit. You can have your MRP issuing suspensions based on media pressure and turning a blind-eye to the Swans transgressions (e.g. letting Buddy off the hook for exact same head high bumps that saw him get weeks at Hawthorn)

You can have your silly game where Langford doesn't even receive a free kick for getting belted in the head, but Selwood gets hundreds of free kicks for milking over the shoulder contact and the commentators applaud him for doing so.

AFL footy sucks. Shit game. Too much aggravation for me. I won't miss it.

I know you will back once the hawks win again and you will prob create a new account here to save face.
Nah

I've been there in person at the MCG and watched the Hawks win more Grand Finals than your team ever will. I don't care about a pissy Round 8 loss. I wasn't even that upset when we lost the 2012 Grand Final. It's just a game. Maybe I've outgrown the footy. I just don't really like it anymore. It's just an old habit which shits me more than anything else. The game itself sucks arse these days and the competition itself is completely corrupt and money-driven

As for posting here… Yeah, I'm really going to miss it. Not.
Half the fun was poking shit at all idiots, but the mods (god bless 'em) don't let me sneeze anymore without giving me an infraction. I also liked reading interesting threads & posts, but there isn't much of that to be found anymore on Big Footy. You gotta wade through pages of shit and you still won't find anything worth reading,

So you can have that too, GoodesFlog

Enjoy :thumbsu:

Back One Out predictable and disheartening isn't it?

In saying that, it's what made last years premiership so incredible. Not just what we had to overcome with our internal issues, but how we conquered a competition determined to bring us down and equally determined to make the swans successful.

Just watching the replay of Riolis superhuman no one else could possibly do genius tackle on tippett, surprised he didnt get sighted for chicken winging him

How come rioli can tackle everyone by the arm pulling it back

Farcical, mate. I'm still waiting to hear if there will be any explanation or any mention that he might've been lucky to escape sanction. So far… nothing. It's as though it never happened. Like I said earlier, I don't care about McVeigh - I like him as a footballer - and I don't give a stuff about snipers and thugs. I actually like the rough stuff. I preferred the game when it had shirtfronts and biffo. I just can't be arsed following a game that has become so corrupted. It's not really sport anymore. It's all just business…

Yeah, it was great. Probably the most enjoyable Grand Final win I ever saw, for that reason alone.
