How many wins for 2010?

I'm expecting 6-9 wins and an improvement in performance. However, if we get key players injured again, then we'll be stuffed big time.

I reckon 8 wins is entirely possible, 10 wins is optimistic. A helluvalot depends on our injury situation. We all remember what we were like at the end of this year when we started to get the quality back in the side. Very competitive and also spanked a couple of sides.

NO injuries to our main group this year - 10-12 wins
1 or 2 injuries - 6-8 wins
Anymore and we will be looking down the barrell of another bottom four finish.

I aint getting my hopes up this year.

well i think we'll win the flag after 18 wins in the home and away season and a barnstormng march through september staight to the hallowed turf of the g on the last day of september, after being denied the opportunity to play there all year.
as a freo supporter the pre season is generally the only time we get to dream of these lofty heights so i make the most of it all pre season.
incidently does anyone know if any other club is not playing at the g all year?

our first half of the season looks very tough to me. if we get smashed early in first few games of season then I think we will struggle to win 5 games with Harvey under extreme pressure.

what i want 8-10 wins

what i think we'll get- 3-7 and bottom four

a lot depends on injuries and form obviously. if we can keep the important guys on the park, get guys like headland and mcpharlin into form, then realistically we can win 10 games... there is a lot of ifs there though

If the majority of our squad come through preseason unscathed we should be aiming for finals. If it doesn't come together this year it should by next.

I think we'll win 8 games next season. As long as we have no Adelaide Debacles we'll all be looking alright. If we sneak into the finals it would be a miracle considering the shit we'll probably cop in the process from media, umpires etc

9 - 12. Less than 9 is unacceptable. Bottom four is unacceptable. We have to start making Subi the house of pain again and win a couple on the road. We can do that. Our team is not that bad if we can keep the players on the park.

we can expect a finals appearence in the next two years (2010 or 2011)
otherwise im not sure about Harvey's future.

i agree with most on here, 8-10 games is not unreasonable, with a re-newing of the house of pain and no more one goal games. its interesting, we all say this now, but if a couple or all of sandi, taz and pav go down (touch wood they dont).. then what would our expectations fall to? mine would probably go back down to being in the bottom four and around 4-6 games.... has there ever been a team that has relied purely on two players more than us? :(

KPR All clubs live with the fear of injurys eg Hawthorn 09. We have no control over it so why even contemplate it:confused:
I would like to think we might get our share of luck 010,because it sure as hell has deserted us the last couple:thumbsu:

yeah i definetly agree with you, but one thing that i worry about is unrealistic expectations. people say we could/should make the 8 this year etc... the fact is, is that we need virtually everything thorughout the year to go right for this to happen. i think 8-10 wins isnt unreasonable to ask, but it can all de-rail very quickly is all im saying

I agree with this sentiment.

2010 will be a consolidation year. 2009 saw the blooding of a lot of youngsters, and the experienced gained therein will be very valuable.

2010 should therefore see us improve a bit: anywhere from 7-12 wins. Possibly scape into the 8, but unlikely.

2011 should then really see us take the next step. The 2011 and 2012 seasons will see Palmer, Ibbo, Hill, Subes et al with 50+ games experience, which is enough for them to really step it up.

Exciting times ahead.

I think with a little bita luck injury wise ,we can certainly knock on the door of the 8,even with an injury riddled team we lost a few pretty close games at subi last year(incl Geelong) so if we can win the majority of games at home and pinch 2 or 3 over east, then we have to be a chance.
However the great unknown is injuries...our first 25 stack up pretty well and would be very competative against most opposition teams (imo) but once we have 4/5+ injuries to key players ..we drop off the pace...as most clubs would.
Would'nt it be nice ...just for once to have a full squad available ..to see what they are capable of.....I bet Mr Harvey does !
