Why? With such high vaccination rates, why do we need it now and in 6 months you'd think it'll be higher, so why the need? You can visit a supermarket with unvaccinated people but you can't visit a clothing store. One you need a passport one you don't, but you'll still mingle with unvaccinated.

Anyway that's slightly off topic, every state who's over 90% should abolish the passports

There's increasing consensus that really the COVID vaccines should have been and should be a 3 shot regime.

Like many new vaccines have been historically.

It turns out boosters don't just resume a similar level of immunity, they instead appear to confer a significant increase in efficacy and moderately in effectiveness, for a much longer duration.

Basically, the idea of 6 monthly boosters is appearing less likely. The necessary timeframe between shots may increase dramatically.

Lower vaccine coverage and higher spread. We are overtaking most European states at a rate of knots for proportion fully vaccinated.

Particularly Victoria, the ACT and NSW.
