Pick 1 is a best case scenario. I think that's as good as its going to get.....we'd be lucky to even get that.

Griffen is going nowhere, I still don't know why some people think he is a chance to go. He is staying 100%. Bulldogs gave stated even though they want Pick 1 they won't throw Griffen away for it, why would they too? He is a top 5 mid in the comp atm.

Agreed. If I was GWS though, I'd be saying to Buddy, you come to us as a restricted free agent or not at all.

They don't really need a tall half forward for mine, so not going to throw the draft pick sink at him.

I saw some clips on foxtel & he seemed to be a man playing boys, not necessarily an all-star dominating his peers.

Is he quick & skilful as well?

Quite a common theme with big forwards playing in the TAC cup ,a lot of them are fully developed or as they term it in draft circles "have no upside" only have to look at Beau Dowler how much everybody was raving about him around draft time. (regardless of the fact that he came to us in a wheel chair).

Gate receipts is merely Beer and Burger Rings money. GWS and Gold Coast are purely a geographic necessity to have the optimum 'product' for the media rights deal. That's what they're all about. Given the Roubles that the AFL squeezed out of the networks based on revenue projections that were way too optimistic, trouble is brewing. Couple that with whatever gets dished out to Essendon and the potential flow on effect there and the triggers in the deal, and we have a fun situation ahead. 'Expansion' when the AFL use the term should really have an asterix after it, like this.
