ah chee and impey are garbage. The only player I'd want the club to chase is gaff , if he isn't gettable work back into the first round of the draft and aim for another second rounder

From the Ah Chee article.....a pre-requisite of interest.

"His best game was in the round 11 win against Hawthorn when he had 26 possessions, six clearances and a goal."

23 years old. Tick.
Willing to play with anyone(interstate). Tick.
Wants midfield minutes. Tick.

I wonder....
I took note of him either last year or a couple of years back, we played Port on a Friday night at the dome, he was super impressive and I was quite surprised at how big he was. I'd definitely be interested

Bushrangers, Kings,
Atkins, Limping and the chronic sneezer Achee. Strike me pink. Any other spud who would like to boost there profile come on down.

I am sure that we have learnt from the Vickery experiment that we cannot change around every dud and without the leadership of Hodge Lewis and Mitchell driving the place forward we won't be trading for potatoes anymore.

If we look at last years recruits these are my gradings

Mitchell 9/10
Henderson 5/10
Omeara 3/10
Vickery 0.5/10 (he gets a 1 because he kicked a few goals for Box Hill but will be deducted a half mark for getting suspended in the Finals.

Agreed.

We should just smash the DRAFT with picks between 50-80 & just land like a bunch of A Graders that beg to be paid unders & just never like ever want to leave.

Also, Premiership Players that physically peaked in 2013 should just harden up & not let their performance deteriorate as they get older; that way, we'll never need discuss 'Achee' types in our Hypothetical Trade threads, again.

There is so much talk that Carlton take all the out of contract Giants players.

There is a future at Hawthorn for Matt Kennedy - Blues want him but of all the players mentioned bar Gaff
I see enormous upside in Kennedy.
Have the hawks gone cold on him>
A 188cm mid/fwd, young, not injured, hawk mad as a kid please hawks make it happen.

Matthew
Kennedy

Height 188 cm
DOB 06-04-1997
Weight 89 kg
Debut 2016
Drafted from the GIANTS Academy, Matthew Kennedy is a medium forward/midfielder who is a prolific ball-winner and strong overhead. He missed national championships because of injury but was in outstanding form for the Rams in the TAC Cup. Has overcome his knee injury and returned to play for Collingullie late in the season. Kennedy made a splash in the AFL, kicking three goals on debut in round 13 against Essendon.

Not suggesting we pick them up, but Ben Kennedy and Jack Trengove are two very solid prospects that have been ruined by being at Collingwood and Melbourne. Shame to see those guys getting delisted when they're exactly what we needed.

Ben Kennedy has circulation problems to the limbs where the blood pools, I don't know the correct term for this but it effects his ability to compete at high levels for extended periods of time / cannot build an endurance base. Note that this problem would not have shown up at lower level sport, it just became apparent after he got drafted and had to go to higher levels of endurance and fitness.

We could get something substantial from Gold Coast for Liam Shiels, considering the picks that they have. As much as I hate to have players like Pup leave the club, maybe that's a road the Hawks go down?
