Frawley is a dodgy kick but can he play forward. He did at the Dees a couple of times with success. May kick better when not under the pump.
Only thoughts...not opinion so no tomatoes please
Frawley can't play forward
Just because he has, doesn't mean he can!

Wow I can't believe all the Chip hate, this year was a write off, every other year he's been with us he's played his role as consistently as anyone else in the team

No Chip hate from me
My post implies he is needed in defence, not up forward
He is our guy for the strong forwards of the opposition

Rival clubs circling out-of-contract Bomber

Callum Twomey August 30, 2017 7:17 PM

ESSENDON speedster Conor McKenna is weighing up his future as he remains out of contract despite a breakout season for the club.

McKenna has enjoyed a career-best year for the Bombers across half-back, and has become a key member of their defence with his brilliant foot skills and pace.

AFL.com.au understands the Irishman has been in discussions with the Bombers over a new deal, but is considering his options as a number of other clubs circle with strong interest.

The Bombers won the fight for McKenna and signed him as an international rookie at the end of 2014, having been the first club to approach him in Ireland.

I rate this kid highly. Awesome user of the ball. Plus we have Glass on the list to help translate :)

This is the type of scenario we may swoop on

Only problem would be Dodoro, asking for a future first plus Gunston.

Getting back to playing 6x forwards is the only way that we'll challenge again.

We may be able to sneak 'fortunate wins' against $ydney, Adelaide & get close to GWS / Geelong sides, but we'll not be a force again until our backline is sufficient & we play forwards as forwards again.

Really need Lynch to bring his defection forward a year! (Or Patton)!
I think you are seriously underselling our wins against top 8 teams this year. We are the only team that has beaten the Swans twice, and we beat the Crows at home. These are probably the two most likely teams to challenge for the Premiership this year.

I love what Clarko has done with our new defensive structure, I think with the right mix (particularly up forward) it could be yet another game changer for Clarko. At the very least it provides us with yet another game plan that is very effective and can be utilised if needed.

I've never been a big fan of him, even at the Dee's I thought he was just a decent key back. That's just my opinion, I feel like the way the game has developed and the emergence of the 195-200+cm forwards with reach really makes it hard for him to compete.
Its interesting that for all the hype of the smaller defenders not being able to handle the new age forwards at 195cm-200cms.........the two AA KP defenders this year are both going to be 193cms and 194cms tall.

I think we can both agree Chip is a fair way off both Rance and Hurley.

I'd be more than happy with that if Whitfield was interested in coming to us.
110% you sign that deal.. id love to see Whitfield team up with our midfield, would top us off beautifully.

Mitchell
O'mera
Whitfield
Howe

That's 4 quality 21-23yr olds who will be shouldering the brunt of our midfield for a decade. Throw in Burton who could very well be a 6ft3 inside/out beast, we are well on the way.

I don't think he is, that game plan is unsustainable.
