But I think we are a real chance of upsetting Port this week. At the selection table we have some big ins, Livo will come in to take Tredders, Chambers and Walker will inject some much needed pace to our midfield and hff area. On top of that I have a feeling Pagan might get the boys fired up after an insipid performance against Collingwood. I know I may be clutching to straws here but we need to have a positive outlook on every game. Thoughts? Can we win this week?

Definitely. After Port's performance today, it looks as if injuries and suspensions are hurting them. They'll probably play better next week, but so will we. We need Livingston back, and Chambers will be a great addition. We need Fevola to play better than he has so far and kick more goals.

It would be good if we can put up a fight and not get burried, which would really hurt our confidence.

I won't be watching or listening to the game, hopefully get the score at the end of the night and hopfully here that Fevola kicked 10, Lance 5 and Stevens/Kouta with 35+ touches.

It does sound stupid unfortunately. Port will be bleeding after losing to their most hated opponent. They wont play that bad again, then there is Tredrea who loves ripping us a new one. Who the hell is going to keep him quiet, given the fact we couldnt stop Sav Rocca, Lucas or a one-legged Tarrant. Fellow Carlton supporters last year laughed at me when I suggested Thornton was our most important player, what we wouldnt give for him now !!!!

I agree, we got a chance. Hopefully the loss on the weekend will be a blessing in disguise and we'll learn alot from it. What we have to do is go back to our WC gameplan. Seeing as our key forwards are leading forwards, we have to kick to them on the leed, not bomb it long. It was extremely frustrating watching our players get space in the middle of the ground, only to bomb it long and subsequently forfeit our possession. ........ but it's a new round! and I feel things will change for us, now that the media's expectation will be off us.
