GUYS!!!! I'm on my honeymoon this wknd.... Just a quick getaway to the big smoke to blow all our money at the casino. Thinking about rocking up to the G on Saturday and have a few questions.... What are our best options re seating? How much are GA tickets these days?

PS Tiger fans on our board pls... You haven't won a final in 14 years.

Got the following from Wikipedia.

Tiger: Solitary aloof animal. Currently endangered because it has no sex drive or desire for the opposite sex. Generally considered one of the most stupid of all the cat species.
Magpie: In your face, aggressive mother fu--er of a bird that won't take shit from anyone. Will pluck your god damn eyeballs out if you even dare to look at him the wrong way. Loves to F--k with people on their way to work. The biggest bad ass in the bird kingdom.
Finally - some legit research!

Congratulations on your nuptials. If you want to have a great weekend with your beautiful wife I would recommend avoiding the MCG all together. Enjoy.

It was actually her idea.... Could be why i'm marrying her.

You are a lucky man. Would still avoid the G though, the only reason I am going is to have some me time.

We've been saving our Centrelink cheques for over 10 years now and wanted to do something a bit more special than attend our local ;)

We should be friends, neighbouring suburbs and all that. Hell, my mum was from Abbotsford and my Dad was from Richmond. Dad called it a mixed marriage. I am therefore torn in half, but fortunately was drawn to the light, truth and beauty that is the Collingwood Football Club.:D
Hi. That's all very well but didn't our boys get into some epic street fights with your boys many moons ago. Fence palings etc. My dad was a Pie. Mum was a Tiger. Siblings born in Epworth, me in Box Hill.

Have to agree that historical relations between the suburbs/tribes were not always cordial. A long time ago of course, and part of the culture of old Melbourne. Can't really see today's stockbrokers of Richmond taking on the hipsters of Collingwood?

Probably the last time he can get to the Casino with her approval . But it sounds like he has got a winner and as they say if you're on a lucky streak, keep going. Kudos to him.
But what do Tigers know from winning anything major?

Yes, the fabric of Melbourne's society has been torn apart. It has degenerated to this. And we don't even hate you now quite as much as we used to. Which is the Pies' fault. Used to be the Pies v the rest. Now we hate Carlton more. Lift your game, Pies.

I know, I know. How did we become so likeable? Where will it all end?

At least you've seen the light re Carlton. I have maintained my rage against them since attending the 1970 Grand Final, as a young and impressionable girl. Long time to hold a grudge, I admit, but Pies fans have long memories. We are also very sensitive souls, beneath our gruff exteriors.

I really want to 'dislike' this one.
Sorry. Didn't want to stir up any bad memories. It gives me no joy whatsoever. Just a bit of nostalgia. I mean, when the Pies and the Blews play each other, as far as I'm concerned, it should be declared a loss for both sides and four premiership points deducted from both.
Anyway, I was at the 1966 GF. But that's completely off the topic.:)
