Heard he wasnt moving all that well at training, but you never know, hes a champion. But i doubt they would risk him and it throws a massive challenge to the 22 without him.

I think Myers would be named as NLM was dropped due to gastro and he wont be 100%and Prismall is an outside player. So maybe they will challenge Myers against North's excellent inside brigade.

Fletcher and Mcveigh are in the leadership group too.

Its all hearsay though, he may well play.

Couple of big footy posters noticed he had his calf (i think) iced at recovery and it was reported on the news too. Rumours have been flying around all week. Mate of mine said he was moving a big sluggish at training but jobe isnt the most graceful of athletes anyway.

He may very well play as hes a legend, just wanted to hear who people might think would be captain?

Stants, Fletch and Spike are the three playing of the leadership group. Stants is the only one who'll be there in 2-3 years, so I'd go him.

Who gets the title of captain for 1 game is pretty meaningless but i'd say it would be Fletcher, as he would take it in his stride and it would have minimal impact on the playing group aside from not getting any clearances because jobe's not there of course

We are definitely over-reliant on Watson though there is no doubt about it. The reality is he is not going to play 22 games + finals year in year out so we need some decent back up options. We have actually been reasonably fortunate that he hasn't missed any games so far considering how bad we've been in recent weeks. There's no doubt that another quality inside midfielder should be our top recruiting/trading priority at the end of this year, we all acknowledge it. Although i do have some confidence that Melksham, Colyer and Zaharakis will be a big part of our future midfield in years to come.

Just a quick gripe. Why would you drop someone like Prismall who is "lacking in confidence" or whatever he was dropped for, and then not play him in the VFL. I'm sorry, but if he is going to be dropped, for form i'd assume, he needs to get game time. It has happened to him about 4 times this year IIRC. I understand why we leave people fresh incase of a late change, but he has been fully fit all year, no injuries to speak of, and he is has almost played less games this year than last! (Bendigo + Essendon included)

Beat me to it anf, was just about to mention how ridiculous it will be if Jobe does play then Myers and Pris would have had no game time this week, Prismall two weeks in a row. How are they meant to put their name up for selection if they dont play any games? There is no point playing mind games with the opposition we are in 12th spot, its not like it will give us any psychological advantage. If jobe is injured during the week, dont play him and select myers or prismall and the other can put his name up at Bendigo
