Would it be better overall for the team? He seams to bat better when he hasn't bowled much + there is a lot less chance of him injuring himself. Obviously we would lose a bowler which would increase the workload for the other bowlers, but if we had an opening batsman who was more consistant and hopefully play every game, would it be worth it?

I think it's less bowling and more having to go straight from bowling to batting. When he bowls a few overs early in the innings, he's usually fine. He has said himself that it can be hard running off the field and then switching straight to batting mode.

With that in mind, a move down to 4-6 would probably be the best thing in the world for him.
 
Out of Australia he's our best bowler I''d say so I think we have to bowl him there. In Aus though I don't think he's a great bowler so I'd use him very little here.
