We need a Gary Rohan replacement so pick any permanent forward in the league that’s an improvement (almost anyone). To me he is worse than Ceglar and Stanley hence why I haven’t said a good ruck.

I'll replace him.

Full disclosure, I'm old and a genuinely useless footballer but under no circumstances will the MC be tempted to play me, so that's an upgrade.

You could replace with this in the forward line and it would be an improvement in finals

Luke Jackson from Melbourne

So much upside.

Mate.

Ben Brown is an elite, plant-powered machine. In 2020 he was regularly tracking more km's per game than Ed Langdon was (I don't know the stats for 2021 but I imagine it's similar). He's 30, but that's not old when you're living off tofu and beans. Look at Tom "Steak and three side-serves of steak" MacDonald- we had to carry him through the finals series and he's younger than Brown is. There's plenty of seasons of quality football left from Big Benny, plenty.

As for that Western player: fu** that. IMO they just seem a little too soft down Footscray way? Go down a little easily. Give up when it gets just a bit too hard. Drop their heads, and hope the umpires give them a hand. Maybe our elite culture could get him on track, but why take the risk?

IMO the only forward we could use from anywhere else is Jesse Hogan. King of the House Party. Already a Demons legend (to me anyway). Bring the boy back home!!!
Highly doubt Hogan goes back to the Demons, they already cost him a ball

Best fit for Geelong 2022 team IMO:

Crows: Laird
Lions: Rich
Blues: Walsh
Pies: Moore
Bombers: Parish
Freo: Darcy
Suns: Miller
GWS: Greene
Hawks: Jiath
Demons: Gawn
North: Thomas
Port: Butters
Tigers: Bolton
Saints: Marshall
Swans: Heeney
WCE: Naitanui
Dogs: Liberatore

We're too early in rebuild in development for any player to have a marked impact to our position.

In fact we're last in line in rebuild, behind the whole comp.

A gun KPF like a King - yeah that'd be great, but it'd be folly to think they'd be the messiah and have immediate and tangible impact to rocket us up the ladder.

3 to 4 years perhaps that type of player would make the wanted impact. Not now.

Maybe a leader type who lifts the rest of the group? Bont is like that. When he's up the whole team stands a little taller.

To be honest, yeah we need leader types for a rebuild, Pendles is that leader. He's a good start to impart his leadership knowledge to players like Bruzzy or Moore. at the very start of a rebuild. And he has strong leaders around him like Tay or Grundy for instance.

I suspect that he relinquishes that captaincy in two seasons to maybe one of those 4, but if he continues he'll lead no differently.

I guess my point was that getting a gun KPF like a King is not going to accelerate our development, may as well rebuild with the raw KPF talent we have like McMahon, Johnson or Will Kelly - sure it'll immediately balance the list better but it won't result in much until we see fruits from rebuild and development (game plan and player development and team gelling etc.).

Same goes for all positions on the park, doesn't matter who we got, the key is getting the rebuild right - So it's a doesn't matter yet for mine.

We could use a Jack Darling type to help Larkey up forward while CCJ learns the ropes.

I've heard the club is good at managing the so-called 'vaccine hesitant' and getting them back on the park.

Could be a perfect fit for all parties concerned :thumbsu:
